Review: Very well written & edited book - I'm new in a group that supports Exchange Server, and this has answered a lot of my questions. Also very impressive is that I've only found about 10 or so typos or grammatical errors...and I'm on page 530 out of over 700 pages. I get very put off by books where there are a lot of typos and incorrect words used. Not so with this book. But aside from that, I would definitely recommend this book for someone who is trying to understand what Exchange Server is all about. I seriously doubt I'll be doing much of what I'm reading about, as there are others in the group with much more experience doing these tasks (I'll likely be mainly doing admin tasks), but at least I now have a clue/appreciation for what is involved in getting Exchange Server up and running...and keeping it running. If the authors are reading these reviews: Thanks for the great book!... and if you tell me where to send the errata info, I'll forward it on to you. Review: So far so good. I did a search in the material for some port numbers that exchange 2016 uses and not all of the port numbers were covered. I am wandering if I should have just bought the 70-345 material, but I kind of assumed that this was going to be even more in depth hence the "Mastering" title. I truly want the full back-end engineering workflow Microsoft Primary Field Engineer knowledge type material. I still have to read the whole thing though so we'll see.

This is more of an explanation of the product, its features, and its differences from previous versions. I was hoping more for a guidebook for installing and configuring the software, not just for an explanation of what it does.

Great tutorial AND reference
As someone completely new to Exchange, this book has been a great read and great learning experience for me. Chapter layouts are sensible. Pretty good balance between what you'll need to know for the typical setup, while also mentioning some more exotic setups along the way.

I felt like I paid for the same book twice
To no fault of the author I really didn't see much value going with the Mastering Exchange 2016 edition since there is very limited advancement to its predecessor Exchange 2013. I felt like I paid for the same book twice.

Trรจs intรฉressant

Great book - worth it for any real world upgrade situation
Well put together, very in-depth. Thankful I read it before going into my upgrade. You can skim certain chapters for certain features but I would recommend skimming them at least for a general knowledge of each feature set just in case.

Libro completo
Tocca tutti gli aspetti in modo approfondito. Qualche screen in piรน avrebbe alleggerito la lettura.

Mediocre overview
For a book whose title implicates that it lets you master Exchange 2016 it has quite a few thematic holes. I would say it is better suited for (advanced) beginners. If you need specific information about some of Exchange's quirks look elsewhere: official documentation, Google or blogs (eg Paul Cunningham). The aforementioned author also has written the Exam Ref 70-345 which goes more in-depth and has a free book online for troubleshooting Exchange. I would recommend his stuff over this book if you need to look up specific things an you really want to "master" Exchange.
