Instructions are online only, and hard to follow
Well it seemed simple enough, but the instructions are all online, and they are horrible. Please include written instructions in your new models. It is extraordinarily hard to follow the online instructions especially when a hand blocks the camera for half the time.

Directions not as clear as reviews state
My 13 year old did put together the car mostly but could not get it to work. The videos do not talk through how to assemble, only subtitles. Some colors of the wires are not consistent with the actual wires. A few parts not labeled. My husband is working with my daughter to help get the car to start. We'll see how long it takes to review the instructions again and find out what may need to be different. Presentation and packaging very good. Parts are labeled on packaging.

Came defective, ruined a birthday
It was a birthday present for our son and he was very excited about it. The disappointment came when after an hour and a half of assembling we figured out that the wires coming out from the battery holder were connected by the manufacturer in an wrong way. We figured out the problem only after the 9V battery had been connected and started warming rapidly. Took the battery out and discovered the in the video manual the wires were connected to the battery holder in the opposite way. The chip did not survive this manufacturing defect. We are waiting to get a replacement. Important to mention, that during the discussion with the customer service of the company we were advised to use the special 18650 batteries and not the regular 9V for the following reason "18650 battery actually is much powerful and good for Lesson 4,5,6,7,8. If you use the 9V battery, it will die very quickly in those lessons and therefore very expensive in future". None of these is mentioned in the product description. There are no 18650 rechargeable butteries in our region and if we knew that 9V batteries are not optimal for the kit we would choose another robot kit. We are very disappointed at this stage.
