It is a miracle!
Was not really expecting a whole lot, considering the price and the nature of this gadget. A tuner is just too expensive. I thought it was not much to give it a shot. I am so surprised! This little block did exactly what I needed! My Tahoe runs like it should now. Before this upgrade, my Tahoe rarely downshifted, and it stayed in overdrive way too much. It seemed to be in a strain all of the time. Now, the shift points on the transmission are just where they need to be. I live in a hilly area and it runs and drives thru these hills like it is flat land. I am very satisfied with the performance of this little block. Highly recommended !

Simple install and smooth engine
Received in the mail brand new, no damage or signs of previous opening. Plugged into my 2008 Tahoe and two days later my check engine light turned off and engine started running smooth again!! So thankful for this product, 100% recommend price is worth the product!

... DiabloSport Sprint for about a week and what a fantastic week it has been
I've had the DiabloSport Sprint for about a week and what a fantastic week it has been. Installation was easy, plug and go. My Silverado performs so much better than before. Not only did it bypass the AFM switch to 4 Cy but it also helped my transmission shift a lot smoother, no more jumping or guessing when to shift. I now have full v8 power at all times. When I start my truck, the plug in flashes a series lights, I always wait to drive until this is complete, takes 15 seconds tops. I don't know if I'm supposed to wait or not as there was nothing addressing the flashing on the packaging but its not an issue since I wait a bit for the truck to settle in before I drive. Once the flashing is over there is a solid red led light that shines down to the floorboard. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is concerned about the negative effects that AFM has on your engine and to anyone that just finds it annoying. I also highly recommend Hinson Motorsports, they have fantastic customer service and prompt delivery.

Works as advertised
2014 GMC Sierra 5.3L. Bought this truck used with 20k miles in Nov 2017. I was not happy with the AFM after driving it for several weeks. I had observed huge clouds of smoke on occasion when the AFM kicked in or out. Big blue clouds of burning oil. Dealer stated they couldn't find anything wrong. Also, the truck seemed to shift very unevenly and the AFM kicked in and out frequently. So I took a chance on this AFM delete module. 90 days in and I am quite pleased. No more burning oil. Shifting is much smoother and the truck much more responsive (hesitation on take off is gone) and this has had little to no impact on my mileage except for long distance expressway trips. With AFM I have hit 23.6 MPG. Without is 20.3. However, if this is a concern, just unplug it before you start your vehicle if planning a long trip. I would recommend this to anyone curious to what the AFM delete can do for them. Now that my warranty is over, I may do the physical AFM delete as I intend to keep this truck for a long time. As you can imagine, that is a substantial amount of work and not cheap making this trial perfect.

A must have for those with Flex-Fuel or DOD GM Vehicles!
Love the Diablo module! Smoother idle, increased power, and better oil pressure! I installed it on my 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV. Super easy install! Plug and play! The perfect canned tune! My truck is a whole different animal when I run this. The best part is you simply unplug if you want to disable the device for long road trip mpg's. I'm hoping it will cancel, or delay the costly rebuild of a DOD delete in the future. Doesn't drain your battery while sitting. The led light turns off with the key. I left it plugged in for a week in winter temperatures, and it fired right up. A better option than the Range, because it is possible to update it. That option was worth the $19 cost difference. $208, I wish it was more affordable, like $100 lol. Probably cheaper than having it tuned at the Dealership though.

It works....
I was not one of the lucky ones who knew about this amazing little gadget you pop in your truck and just go before having to replace the screw up that Chevy clearly made. My truck was repaired and popped this little piece in and 100% you can feel the difference. I have a 2010 Chevy Silverado LTZ. My gas mileage is not a noticeable difference. The truck runs much smoother and I couldn't be happier. I am not having any issues or interference with any other components on my truck. Definitely worth the purchase to avoid thousands of dollars in repairs. When I get the truck inspected I just remove the FMD and truck passes no problem at all. Doesn't affect anything but what it is intended for. If you have a Chevy and the flex fuel 5.3L engine I highly recommend you invest in this.

Works well
I want to rave about this product. My '08 Silverado with the 5.3L motor developed a misfire 18 months ago thanks to a collapsed active fuel management (AFM) valve lifter. I was very pissed off when I discovered it was because of the AFM system. The AFM cuts off oil flow to special lifters that collapse on command to keep the valves closed on cylinders that are shut off. I watched YouTube videos that claimed you could fix them by just removing the valve cover and tapping here or there - nothing worked. After getting a rough estimate of $2000 from my local shop, I spent $400 on the parts and spent a weekend pulling one head and swapping all the lifters on the side with the affected cylinder and also swapping the little screen under the oil pressure sensor (and swapped the sensor just in case while I was in there). This little $5 screen is what causes the valve lifter to fail and stay collapsed that shows up as a misfire code and engine light on the dash and of course your truck runs like crap on 7 cylinders. All the oil for the AFM lifters flows through this screen on the way to the AFM lifters. In higher mileage trucks, the screen gradually gets plugged up which causes low oil flow to the AFM lifters and without enough oil flow, the lifter eventually collapses as if it was in 4 cyl mode permanently. I searched the web and even checked with the dealer to see if they could disable the AFM and found nothing. There were no easy re-programming options nearby so I've been paranoid about keeping the oil changed to maintain oil pressure and hope that it didn't happen again on the other cylinder bank every time the truck went in to 4 cyl mode. Then I found the Diablo Sport S1000. I've had it installed for a few days. Works perfectly, the AFM doesn't activate, the truck stays in 8 cyl mode with consistent power response and no more fluctuating speed as it drops in and out of 4 cyl mode. As others have commented I noticed it also shifts more smoothly, not slamming into 2nd gear under full acceleration or hauling a load like it did before. I haven't noticed an issue with it draining the battery if I leave it plugged in but I've also not let my truck sit long enough yet either. So I highly recommend installing this product in your truck's OBD port. If you have a higher mileage 5.3L motor and your oil pressure tends to register lower than it did thousands of miles ago, especially coming off a highway cruise then you should also change the little filter screen under the oil pressure sensor (at the back of the engine, it is a pain to do). Chances are the oil pressure is fine throughout the motor but the screen is plugged up. The Diablo Sport S1000 will make your truck more responsive, easier to drive at a steady speed, shift more smoothly and likely save you thousands in repair costs for collapsed valve lifters caused when lifters stop responding to the AFM oil cutoff system. I haven't seen a difference in mileage myself but even if it costs you a bit more in fuel, it is still cheaper than valve lifters. And no, they haven't paid me to say any of this. I am just so glad I won't have to spend any more money or time under the hood replacing valve lifters and the truck drives better also.

Many benefits for the GMC Sierra
Love this product. After spending nearly 2k trying to troubleshoot and repair a cylinder #6 misfire I decided to bite the bullet and see if this worked for my 2014 GMC Sierra. I have had it for several months and it hasn’t shifted to V4 once. I haven’t noticed a difference in fuel mileage either. Well worth the $ and it has significantly increased ease of shifting (and less noticeable shifting) This also got rid of the exhaust rattle when in V4 and as an added bonus it got rid of a frequent error code: p0137 (downstream O2 sensor low voltage) All in all 5 stars, I actually enjoy driving my truck again and I will consider a full afm delete in the future.

Good product stay in V-8 mode all the time 5 stars
Work perfectly ... I had a collapse lifter in cylinder #6 so I take the intake off and the velom and knock the lifter until the unblock ... and then I flush the ECM code and put this box in the OBD2 plug and I try it on the road and work perfectly .... good stay stay on v-8 all the time so the lifter that getting stock on v-4 doesn’t never gonna get stuck again and have a random misfire ... really good product

DiabloSport S1000 Sprint AFM module GREAT
So far it works perfectly in my 2016 Camaro 2SS. No engine lights, no issue whatsoever. I just plugged it in and my engine stays in V8 mode at all times in every driving condition so far. Left module plugged in overnight and no battery drain issues at all. Car does seem more responsive to me. Love this product.

works but sets systems to "not ready"
I bought this product to do 2 things: 1. leave the engine in V8 mode 24/7 2. reduce oil consumption via 1. It is well documented online that the AFM system can cause excessive oil consumption in the Avalanche, the older the model the worse it is. Prior to installing this I was getting 4.5L/6.0L after an oil change. I have just done my first oil change since installing and I got back 5L/6L, and this was over the winter where oil consumption is typically worse, so it appears to have done its job; I am burning less oil. I have 277000kms so some oil consumption can be expected. Fuel economy: base 12.8L/100kms After CAI and performance exhaust 13.8L/100kms After this chip 14.3L/100kms Worse for city-only, I don't find as much of a difference on highway only driving. Cons: Sets multiple engine emission systems to "not ready". This will not cause the engine light to come on, but it will cause you to fail an E-test if you wont pull the chip a few days before. For me its sets EVA CAT and O2 sensors to "not ready" -1 star
