Works amazing and saves time and money

I had a 6" duct installed to convert a recirculating stovetop vent to one blowing cooking smells/smoke outside. There was a gap between the vent pipe and the ceiling thatbl I wanted to seal to keep out critters and air exchange. Unfortunately, almost all expanding foams or similar sealants are highly flammable, which didn't sound like a good idea in a kitchen, nor the did I lije the idea of such properties falling into food prep/cooking areas. After much research I found this non-flammable latex product. As shown in the photo, I was able to use it to properly seal the gap in the ceiling around the vent. However, this is a very wet/soft product, making it more likely to fall as I pushed out product with a caulking gun. Not a big problem, as I was able tobuse my gloved finger to pick-up and push the caulk into the gap and smooth it to fill the gap. The mess will soon be hidden by a cover to conceal the vent pipe.

I bought this to make precise, sealants around my air handler. It was easy to apply, and dried well.
