Candle Making DIY Kit

Candles that I made with the kit were perfect! The smell was incredible, colors were vivid, and there was extra wax after I used all the tins! The instructions made it easy to use and were complete in terms of the exact temperature for the best performance of the candle. The included thermometer went up to nearly 500 degrees fahrenheit and was extremely accurate compared to my candy thermometer. 10/10 Performance. Incredibly fun!

This kit gives you everything you need to get started. The scents are fabulous. I wish the wax was soy instead of beeswax but you work with what you got. And also I wish that they could have added two more tins so that each bag made 3 each. You know just to keep things even. The melting pot is a lot smaller than expected but like I said great for beginners because the larger pots can got for $15 or more. The wax colors look great. I am glad that they came two to a pack. I do know that the more color you use the deep or richer the color will be so having some left over will be a bonus if you don’t want a bright pink candle. The digital thermometer comes with a (watch style)battery which is a plus. I have already remelted on candle in my house so I can tell you that the stick pads hold the wicks in place when used with wick stick holder. Last but not least glad they came with warning labels. I think these are very important. But remember if you get into candle making Amazon does sell warning labels so you don’t have to do extra work and print your own.

I purchased this for my daughter for her birthday & she absolutely LOVED this kit! Personally, as someone who makes candles, I do wish the product had an assortment of wicks, but I fully understand why it doesn't. That may be a little too advanced for this kit. However, with my small critique added, I will tell you that she loved creating candles, didn't realize it was so easy and is now creating candles on her own! She actually took HER money and brought more wax before additional wax I purchased for her came! I asked her to wait for me so we could make these together, but she was so excited that she made them all in one shot! LOL! She was so happy to show me and I was so happy to tell her how beautiful each of her creations were. Note: I would suggest you also buy inserts, like some flowers, herbs & such, for the person you are giving this to so they can add those to the candle and make wonderfully unique creations with it! This is just a great little kit!

I used wooden wicks that I ordered separately and a used candle jar, and used the wax, colors, scented oils and all the instruments in this kit (pot, thermometer, stirring spoon) to create the candle in the picture. As you can see, I couldn't quite get the two layers of color I was aiming for, and the colors you end up getting are quite different (and much much lighter) that how they appear to be in their original solid form, but I think it worked pretty good for a first try ever. The instructions attached to the kit are very clear and easy to understand, the only thing is that the scent of the oils is a bit weak. Overall, a great kit for beginners.

The product is good but I was a little let down because I purchased several of these kits and they used to have 100 wicks in them now you only get 23 to 25… but they charge the same amount of money! What happened to loyalty to the customer? If they still had the 100 wicks in their kit, I would have given them five stars because the kits are very nice but I don’t appreciate the poor business practices. DW/NC

Great kit. Would recommend

It's relatively easy and a fun activity for kids or even a date. It tells you to melt wax but doesn't say how. Fill the pot with wax and place it in another pot that has some water inside boil the water and it will melt the wax.

I LOVE IT!! Watched a few videos before I opened it up. Dove in and happy to say my first candle is a smashing success!! I foresee many more in my future….yes I am hooked!! My cart is currently full of more supplies!!

Bought two of these kits, and BOTH had the essential oils leak everywhere. Everything soaked in oils, and the bottles basically empty. Pretty annoying to buy a kit and then also need to buy new essential oils because seller doesn't seal the bottles properly. Literally every single bottle in both kits is basically empty. Actually, sorry, ONE bottle out of 16 (two kits) was 3/4 full. Outside of that, the kit appears to be good. Daughter made some soap last night. It looks good.
