Easy, good and accurate
For my purposes, this 24 hour ECG monitor was really good. I had been experiencing some new heart symptoms and I bought this monitor to find out what was going on. I recorded my ECG for a period of about 20 hours, obtained an AI-analysis and sent it to my cardiologist. Importantly, my cardiologist commented: "The AI interpretation of your ECG recordings is very good and I cannot argue with the interpretation." As a non-specialist, I did not know what the AI-generated report meant and there is no analysis aimed for the lay person. But, if an ECG reveals potential heart defects, you anyway need expert analysis and the lack of an explanation for the lay person is no loss. What was important was that there was a delay of only a few days between my ordering the ecg monitor and sending the report to my cardiologies, by-passing a huge amount of delay that I would otherwise have suffered. I found no real problem with set up, except that my virus software (Bitdefender) blocked loading of the software from the memory stick on which it is provided, requiring me to work out how to create an exception for the software so that Bitdefender would allow it to be put on my laptop. In order to maximise the ECG quality, I attached the monitor to my chest with two of the supplied 3M electrodes. The device was comfortable to wear and did not interfere at all with what I was doing. When I finished monitoring, I removed the monitor from the electrodes and attached it to the connector device to allow the data to be downloaded to my PC and processed by the software. The AI analysis is carried out remotely: click a button and off go the data for analysis. The report came back quickly, perhaps within 10 minutes, as a pdf file. Of course, the monitor could have additional functions. What might be especially useful would be a button to press on the monitor when the wearer experiences an event, so that the corresponding ECG section can be identified. For some purposes, it would be useful to have a real-time display on one's phone and a heart rate monitor. However, for its job of acting as a Holter monitor, this is a 5-star device that will save you some of the frustrating delays built into the NHS.

Reliable Device with Good Software and Fast AI Analysis
I’ve been using this ECG monitor for a year now, and overall I’m very happy with the device. The recorder works reliably, the software is straightforward to use, and the AI analyser generates results in around five minutes after uploading the traces, which is very convenient. After I finished using the original pads that came with the device, I tried purchasing a replacement pack recommended by the seller, but unfortunately those pads caused a lot of artefacts during recording. Because of that, I now use the belt provided instead, which works much better and gives much cleaner readings. The device itself performs well, the recordings are clear, and I’ve had no technical issues with the software. It’s a solid option for anyone who wants to monitor their heart health at home with detailed trace reports. Pros Reliable recordings with the belt Fast AI analysis (results within 5 minutes) Easy-to-use PC software Clear ECG trace exports in PDF format Portable and convenient for home use Cons Replacement pads recommended by the seller created artefacts Best results require using the belt instead of third-party pads Overall, it’s a good-quality ECG monitor with dependable performance and very useful software tools. I’m satisfied with it after a full year of use.

Excellent product and highly recommend
This is a fantastic little gadget. I have used it now on several occasions, on myself and a family member. Easy to use. Comfortable to wear, hardly noticeable. Analysis easy to do. Excellent report with narrative summary and complete ECG trace. Every recorded abnormality is marked on the ECG trace and easy to select and view. Very pleased and would highly recommend. Price is reasonable, considering how much it costs to have a 24 hour holter done privately.

Damn it, I really wanted this to work!
I must have the worst luck when ordering things (sigh) feel like I'm cursed. So I ordered this ECG unit because my heart keeps beating irregular and taking my breath away and I probably have a genetic problem with mine due to family members also having probs with theirs in the past, so I wanted to invest and get some info and see where I was at. I opened the box and the first thing I noticed were the packed of pads and they are out of date! The instructions say not to use if out of date, so it was going back anyway, this is clearly old stock! With this order I purchased more pads so I used those as not to open the out of date ones. I put the unit on and... it's so irregular. I just turned around in my chair and the data goes all over the place. How can I print this now and hand it to a cardiologist and pretend this is anywhere near accurate? If you touch the unit slightly under your t-shirt the data again goes all over the place. Maybe I have a duff one, maybe they are all like this, who knows. But for me, this unit is not working, not even close.

I wish I'd had one earlier
(I have given my review 5 stars but if there had been an opportunity I would have given it only 3 stars for the user friendliness of the PC software.) Installation of the Windows software from the supplied USB stick is straightforward (and, I assume, is similar for Mac). Before the ER1 Monitor is first used it is connected to your computer to synchronise time so that recordings will show the correct times. In my haste to get started I neglected to do this so my first recording showed the incorrect time and date. Using the device is also very straightforward. I didn't use the supplied electrodes as attaching the device to the body strap was simple and caused no discomfort while it was being worn, not even in bed. After wearing the monitor it is connected to your computer to allow the ECG data to be downloaded and then exported for AI analysis. This was the most difficult part of the operation as the software lacks user friendliness and the documentation is not very helpful. It would be friendlier, for example, if the button to close information windows was labelled 'close' rather than 'confirm'. The first few times I tried the software I found no way to quit and had to use Task Manager to end the application. The steps are as follows: Connect the device to your computer and start the AI-ECG Analysis System. Choose Import data (or Download data in an earlier version of the software). In the pop-up box set up a new user (or choose an existing user), then press Confirm The data is imported from the device and you can then View ECG or Analyze. View ECG shows the data in graphical form covering many pages. Analyze asks for permission to upload the data to the AI-ECG Platform, and this is the part of the process which is very poor. Once it has been submitted you are told it takes about 30 minutes to analyse each piece of data. As you aren't sure what is meant by 'each piece of data' you might worry that the analysis could take a few years. Also, you are not told the nature of the notification so you might waste a lot of time checking your email looking for a message that will never arrive. If you look carefully you may see that a very small number with an orange background has appeared next to the Notifications tab at the top of the page. This is the notification you have been expecting but you can do nothing about it as the application appears to be frozen. This where I resorted to using Task Manager to escape. In fact, what you need to do is close the information box that tells you the data has been submitted. The close icon is small and easy to miss. Once you have closed it you can click on the Notifications tab and a dropdown list gives you just the first few words of a message to say that an analysis of your data has been completed. You can then View Report. All this sounds quite a mission but it's not quite as bad as I've made it sound and, once you've used it a few times, the quirkiness of the software ceases to be an issue. Seeing the report makes it all worthwhile. The analysis report provides a wealth of information covering the duration of the ECG recording. I had always assumed that my heart was functioning normally but all the recordings I have made with the ER1 are consistent in showing that I have a number of issues which need to be brought to the attention of my doctor. My wife, on the other hand, who suspected she might have heart problems, was delighted that her analysis showed nothing to be concerned about. I just wish that this device had been available to me earlier in my life. One final observation: the manual states that the device will start and stop automatically when you 'put it on/off your body' but I found that the indicator light continues to blink all the time. Wellue say that this can't be turned off and the standby mode of the device is very energy efficient. Postscript added 15 October 2023 As the ECG Monitor indicated that I may have heart issues, my doctor advised me to visit a cardiologist. After he'd examined the results of one of my 24-hour ER1 recordings he said that the device may well have saved my life. He was happy to accept the AI report which pointed to atrial fibrillation which could have caused a stroke at any time. If I had not used the ER1 my condition would have gone undiagnosed as I was not experiencing any symptoms.

Does exactly as advertised.
I've had great results with this. Easy to use even on a Macbook. I had to download and install the software but it was very easy to do. The unit but take a reading of at least 10 minutes before it will save the recoding, less than that and it doesn't save. I've used it for short recording and also overnight and have taken printouts of the results to my doctor. She was happy with the output and used the data to refer me to cardiology. Reliable, easy to use and comfortable to wear. An easy 5 stars.

Starts to die after a few weeks
So the first week or so was good-I noticed a lot of interference (movement artefact) on exercise which was a pain as that was when I experience my symptoms then it got to the point where I had to restart my computer every day for it to even upload anything and now after another week ir says there's no data on the device I have been wearing all day/night. I have tried new sticky pads etc but it's like totally random what day it will work or not. If it was within the time period I would just return it but because it worked to start with I am stuck with this semi useless device. When it works it's pretty good (except for the exercise thing) but it works less every day. A hell of a lot of money to waste on something that I need to depend on.

Fantastic piece of kit
First off this is a great piece of kit that can help many of us understand what's happening on the inside. Now it's not perfect and there is much room for improvement but it does the basics of an ECG really well. It's light easy to wear and probably around 90% or so accurate. It records PACs and PVCs with ease. Reports comeback within 30 mins and provide you with lots of detail, the detail could be more explained within the report as we're all not qualified doctors which means you start to Google lots of ECG data to understand it's meaning. Don't be surprised if you find some sort of Arrhythmia, especially on a 24hr test as from my research most of us have them. The good points Easy to use Battery life is amazing Reports are fast Lots of detail Picks up most Arrhythmia No subscription fees (Yet!) The bad points Expensive Not enough detail to explain the report Not waterproof Sometimes a pain to connect to the software Mobile app could be better Picks up noise and I believe the odd time can provide false information Can't Star ⭐ sessions of interest 3.5* as there is much room for improvement but I must say this pretty good technology to have within a home but unfortunately at a high cost.
