Even though I read a TON of bad reviews, I loved the concept of this bottle and was determined to use it, even if I have to mix parts. The nipple shape is awesome, very much like Playtex drop - in nipples from the 80's that people still pay $50.00+ for. I haven't had issues with it leaking like others have posted, but I did do some troubleshooting before hand just in case and discovered that you can bypass the plug/sleeve by using a lansinoh breasmilk storage bag (it is a tight fit) like you would a drop in if you cut off the zip at the top. NOTE the nipple from this bottle is too wide for most other wide mouth bottles. It does fit the Similac Simply smart bottle....but I have read they are discontinued. I am glad I took a leap of faith and purchased this bottle despite negative reviews. I will still do lots of research on what parts are compatible with other products to see if I can help those who can't figure out or have trouble using this product as it is on its own.

Yeah......unfortunately, I have to agree with everyone else. These are not functional at all. They looked like such an awesome idea but I was just disappointed with just about everything about it, I must list everything:-it didn’t leak with the formula but the silicone bottom and nipple just weren’t sturdy enough. We’re supposed to push the bottom up to push out the air but the bottom just kept falling doen thus having air come back in...and evem the slightest tug on the nipple (done by me not baby) and it would just come off.-baby cannot and will nor latch. I guess the nipple is too in there...-from what other moms said it leaks breastmilk....which it should not be doing being a product for breastfeeding moms lol.I’m truly just saddened by this product. *sigh

It works!!!!
My baby girl is 2 months old and would not take any bottle! We tried a nipple shield and all it would not work we went threw a lot of bottles and wasted money! I got the Bare bottle in the mail and cleaned it and put some breast milk in it and had my husband give it to her. She immediately lached on and drink half the bottle. That was the first time.

good not great
3 stars because my daughter loves them. what i dont like is when you fill these and push up the bottom to remove air they leak a lot of the time. With formula i'm not that concerned but when there was breastmilk in them it was sad to loose some out the bottom. I recommend wetting the round bottom part that moves before putting it in the bottom. It makes it move fast as the baby sucks on the bottle.

Not difficult to use
Grandson would not except any other bottle we had tried over 12 different kinds, this one he will drink at least several ounces when mommy is not available.

The concept is amazing. The design
The concept is amazing. The design, not so much. My main issue with this bottle is even after following instructions to the tee, the suction of the bottle does not work properly. I don't see the point in buying 4oz bottles when baby will need larger bottles in the very short future so I bought the 8oz ones which are pricey for only two bottles but would have been worth it. The problem with the bottles is that while it did work with 4 oz of liquid when I tested 6-8oz the liquid was too heavy and the suction not strong enough to support the heavy liquid. The liquid would just sink down until the was about and inch air gap... defeating the whole purpose of the bottle. I was very disappointed after much awaited anticipation for my 2 month old to be relieved of SO much spit up due to access air. My second issue is the nipple the way it goes in and out of the silicone top... this does not mimick a breast as is the claim which can be found on the box. Sadly disappointing and concept needs Some more designwork.
