The Tusk Folding Shift Lever +10mm is a fantastic upgrade for Kawasaki KLR650 owners. Although listed for 1987–2018 models, it fits perfectly on my 2024 KLR650 Adventure, so the description is accurate. The build quality is excellent—solid construction with great knurling on the tip for secure shifting. The weight feels just right, and the lever looks great even after heavy use. I’ve put about 15,000 miles on it, and it’s still going strong with no signs of wear. For the price, this is a very reasonable option from a reputable brand. Easy to install. Better quality than the original and the extra length makes it more easier to change gears.

Also have the tusk footpegs and if you have them or have ordered them I strongly recommend a shift lever too, longer is a must if you are a size 12 foot imo, and I'm only wearing a leather riding boot, not even and mx style boot. The shifting feel is nice too, the end is much smaller and much more slippy, your toe glides under it a lot better and the slips back out a lot easier too. So even if you don't need the length it still has benefit. Quality wise it is what you expect, it is a light alloy that looks like a Chinese part tusk has just branded, not sure how susceptible to work softening it'll be without crashing it but I would rather ruin the lever than the shaft it attaches to. I'm seeing some people say the lever is not longer and even images where it doesn't seem longer but it is deceptive, you can line up the lever before putting it on and it looks the same length but on the bike it is longer, and I think this listing doesn't even mention being longer so I think maybe tusk only does a longer lever, I may be remembering wrong though, I mainly purchased because my old lever was cracked, didn't know at the time my pegs were going to make a longer lever a necessity.
