It also has a light, lovely scent that reminds me of saddle soap with a hint of fly spray. Also, I can see how this would deter some, but it is actually delightful and natural-smelling. If you loved horses as a girl, this may be just what you’re looking for. Review: Moisturizer with a weird unscented “scent” - This is a good plastic free option for moisturizing. I’ve tried their body bar lotion and it can be a bit messy bc of needing to hold the bar itself to apply. So I tried this. The level of moisturizing seems good so far. It is slightly greasy, but not sticky. It’s fairly easy to apply. The first use did lead to some small bits crumbling off the surface, but nothing major. I expected the unscented to just smell like cocoa butter products, which I love. Instead it leaves me smelling sort of like the wax of an unscented candle (personally it reminds me of birthday candles). It’s not entirely off putting, but it’s a bit odd.

Moisturizer with a weird unscented “scent”
This is a good plastic free option for moisturizing. I’ve tried their body bar lotion and it can be a bit messy bc of needing to hold the bar itself to apply. So I tried this. Works well
I have used both the orange and the lime Ethique moisturizer sticks. They work like the old push-pop ice creams and have a recyclable paper tube. Moisturizer is easy to apply and has an oily texture on skin at first but when it soaks in, it’s great. I have very dry, itchy skin, sensitive skin from eczema and my skin loves it and I do not have to reapply like I do pump liquid moisturizers. Stick lasts quite a while.

Great lotion, but beware of the scented version
I have been using Ethique solid shampoo, conditioner, and reconstitutable lotion blocks (The One; you add boiling water to get liquid lotion) for a good while and have loved them all. But I wanted a lotion to take in a carry-on that could also be used during the trip. So I ordered the jasmine and ylang-ylang scent of this body butter. Let me say first that as a lotion, this functions fantastically. It is as close to a liquid as you can get and still be a stick. Don’t worry about it being too dry or waxy. It made my skin very soft and felt great on. However, the scented version smelled to me very much like standard liquid sunscreens, with just a hint of something flowery but strange to it. And it was much like some perfumes in that after it had been on my skin awhile, the scent changed - and then I found it utterly unbearable. Rather than throw it out, I asked someone else if she wanted to try it, and she really liked it. So clearly, YMMV. I also wasn’t careful about washing my hands after I’d used it before touching my face, and it made my eye burn. Washing my face and putting hydrating drops in my eye to wash it out fixed the problem, but it was a surprise. Today I received the unscented version and am completely happy with it - though I will not be letting it get on my face again, so I can’t tell you if this version is better near eyes. I love the Ethique brand for being plastic-free and nasty-ingredient free, and I hope they keep rolling out the products. They have allowed me to be done with so many one-use plastic bottles in my life, and I will jeep using their products as long as they keep making them.

Better that expected
I am in the process of reducing waste and buying more waste free products. I love that this is entirely biodegradable and zero waste packaging. It smells great and is easy to apply. Just roll over your skin and I like to rub it in after.

Long lasting and smells wonderful
I absolutely love this company and their packaging. It’s nice to know that there are companies out their who care. It’s so easy to use and keeps me smelling fresh all day long Update: WOW, I can’t believe how long this product lasts. It still smells great, really easy to use, works so well to keep me feeling fresh, and lasts so long. Worth every penny!

mostly good
I'm really trying to choose the most environmentally friendly product so I was thrilled to try this product. I purchased the unscented version and there really is no scent, which is appreciated. I do tend to have drier skin and felt it was good for that. I don't think I would purchase again. I previously used the concentrate tablets, which I mostly liked and I wanted this tube lotion to work to just save me time. It doesn't really soak in though. it kind of feels like it stays on top and a bit oily. I did try to spread a small amount with my hands and I wouldn't say that was very successful.

So convenient
I like using this lotion bar especially at night. I don’t always like the feeling of lotion on my hands at bedtime but this is perfect. It’s emollient and convenient to use instead of lotion or hand cream. I also use it on my feet at night and then put socks on. My feet are never rough or dry. Elbows are another good place to use this on. When you apply it no matter where it stays there and doesn’t require a lot of rubbing in.
