Update to the update: I found the first one so useful I ordered a second, and tried setting it up without shutting off 5Ghz. This one worked perfectly without shutting down the 5Ghz bad, although it spent so much time “connecting” in the Meross app I was exploit to fail—so be patient. Now going to order a 3rd. Updated Review: After finding an obscure article on how to shut off the 5GHz band of my Velop mesh wi-Fi network I was able to successfully set this item up both directly via Apple Home Kit and via the Meross app. The Meross app way is better, as it adds it to both the Meross app to access firmware updates and the Apple Home app for easier day-to-day use. Upgraded my rating from one to four stars as I think it is actually a five star accessory but the setup requirement to shut down the 5GHz band is overly complicated and will make many users frustrated — and certainly users who aren’t able or comfortable making changes to their WiFi systems. Old Review: Product works with the Meross App, but won’t connect to Apple Home Kit despite hours of effort, innumerable resets, power offs,etc. Only connects on 2.4ghz network so unless you can shut off your 5ghz network somehow plan to face connection failure at setup. I have other Meross products that have setup on Home Kit fine, so maybe a firmware update will help, but this isn’t showing a firmware update available so today there isn’t much hope.

Works well and the app is surprisingly not too bad. HomeKit integration also works although you need an Apple TV or HomePod for most of the HomeKit features (not Meross fault of course) but something to keep in mind for Apple users.

Great buy and installation was quick though with minor hiccup

Its not smart at all. Keeps disconnecting from wifi and cant be controlled then. The app is useless and the connection with Apple Home doesn't work as well. Save your money and dont buy this.

Awesome product, I actually have a few and will get more. But the only heads up is that the HomeKit barcode sticker fades away during normal wear and tear. I had to contact Meross directly for the code - which to be fair they were very supportive and quick. But otherwise excellent, and very quick response

Very easy to set up. Reliable connection. Only thing is no individual button to control each plug. But Siri can be used to operate though. Overall satisfy!

You have to download the brand's own app to be able to use it. Upon powering off all switches, it will auto off the main switch/no standby option. It syncs with google assistant/Alexxa but the Main switch has to be on/one power outlet left on for routines to work
