i've never seen this particular sock from Darned Tough in anything but single pair per package

If I go hiking in these, should I wear liner socks with them or will they be fine by themselves?

I've been hiking in these socks in the Wisconsin parks - a mix of terrains - since late last fall, typically 1-2 times a week, about 10-15 miles. I've not felt any need to wear liner socks. I'm wearing mid-weight boot socks - haven't had the opportunity to wear the light weight socks, but suspect they'll perform equally as well.

If you choose to you can. But just like any other sock the moment they get water on them they will be wet and soggy. They are not waterproof.
