Great fine polish
Flitz is a jack of all trades polish...no grit, but useful for polishing plastics, paint and metals, or just putting some protection on surfaces that can oxidize...very mild, but with the proper polishing cloth, leaves a brilliant shine

Love this stuff!
I use this polish on everything and it works great! Nothing more satisfying than making a tarnished discolored piece of jewelry, etc. shine like brand new in a matter of minutes. Not only is it the best jewelry/metal cleaner and polisher I've ever tried, the fact that it can be used on so many surfaces and is safe enough to use without gloves make it even better. I always keep a supply on hand and use it all the time. Highly recommend!!

Good product, just not for me
Good product, Works well enough and as described but I find it difficult to apply and get good results. I prefer Sheila Shine.

Scrub it wisely when you use this paste, it needs a couple tries
This paste is useful, though I need to find a few YouTube video tutorial in order to know how to use it efficiently. I used this paste to polish my knifes (stainless steel), some meditation bells (bronze), and some edc tools (titanium and damascus). The paste chemical helps removes the dirts and dusts on the surface and makes it really shiny. One personal finding: I will need to keep change the paper towel (or switch side) to scrub it in order to make it effective.

Versatile and indispensable in any home
I’ve used Flitz polish for years and on more projects than I can recall. I’ve used it on knives, guns, CDs, headlamp housings, safety glasses, drink thermoses, stainless steel, blued steel, chrome, carbonitrided steel, aluminium, brass, copper, carbon fiber (the resin), plastics… you get the idea. On stainless steel, it makes the surface even more rust resistant and reduces general staining, great for pocket knives. On plastics it can improve light transmission and help the surface shed water and stains. On blued steel, when used with a light touch, it removes rust, produces a deep luster, and helps protect against rust. It brightens and deepens the luster on anodized aluminium, and on raw aluminium it polishes and protects the metal itself. It can be used on CDs (I’ve saved many!) and similar to remove many scratches, same as headlamp lenses and safety glasses. I have used it on glass to remove hard stains, but never use it on coated glass (eyeglasses, sunglasses, binoculars, rifle scopes, camera lenses, &c.). When applying and rubbing the polish in, the pressure you apply affects the results. This is, despite their claims, an abrasive polish with an equivalent grit of something like 5,000. On brushed steel, I use a light touch in straight lines to bring up the luster and protect it without over-polishing it and losing the attractive surface grain. On headlamps, I press fairly firmly and use a swirl motion. I’d recommend using single use applicator and rubbing cloths, that paper cloth stuff does well (see photo), but other textiles works fine. On complex surfaces, a toothbrush or similar may also be used to good effect. On many plastics, I find that adding water helps the Flitz keep ‘biting;’ on metals I often use an oil (e.g. Slip 2000, I’d avoid oils with Teflon). Once finished with the rubbing, I have a dedicated ‘dirty’ rag (microfiber, see photo) to pull the excess Flitz off the surface and to refine the finish. Finally, another cleaner rag (microfiber) to get rid of the last of it and complete the polish. On anything that carries food or beverage, I go ahead and wash with warm dish soap thoroughly (no offensive taste or odor is evident). Speaking of, the stuff has a pungent odor and is hard to wash off the hands (dish soap is recommended). At all hazards, avoid getting it into your eyes; if used on a power tool, use safety glasses! Flitz claims that the polish will protect metals for 6 months, obviously mileage varies depending on use. For a knife that is subjected to abrasive use, the 6 month promise is optimistic. On the other hand, a gun going into a humidity controlled safe and seldom handled will probably be fine for years. This is a great product to have in any home, it is versatile and indispensable! It breathes new life into worn or tarnished surfaces and helps protect them no matter their condition!
