Space saving and it truly keeps small places cool.

Don't think you'll save money on the cheaper no brand filters because you will end up hot and unhappy with the entire system. The other stuff I bought here does not allow the air to flow through properly. This does and is the same as came with the air conditioner. It works and I wasted money and was very uncomfortable with the substitute.

I've purchased these filters three times now, and every time I have, the price goes up and the quality goes down. These filters are incredibly flimsy and seem to fall apart if you even look at them wrong. Every time I buy them they are thinner and more poorly made than the last. Also, if you're foolish enough to buy these, keep in mind they'll only last you about 30 days and they CANNOT be cleaned without destroying them. I don't think they're even that good at deodorizing the air, because they're so thin that the activated carbon can't really do its job. It's safe to say I've learned by lesson and I will never buy these again. Do yourself a favor and buy these instead: All-Filters CP-6005 Cut to Fit Carbon Pad for Air Purifiers . You have to cut them to size but for under $8 you're getting much higher quality. I tried it yesterday and I cut them 15 1/8 inches long by 7 1/4 inches wide and they fit my ARC-14S perfectly. They also seem to do a better job of deodorizing the air, and as a bonus, I can make four of these at a time, for a quarter of the price.

I believe these filters are fairly pricey for what they consist of, but we all know that's the case with manufacturer's replacement parts! Otherwise, no complaints.

Using this filter along with the Antimicrobial filter have really helped with my allergies this summer. Also, there has been a lot of smoke in the air due to forest fires in the area and the air in the house smells clean.

Whynter ARC-CF-14S Activated Carbon Replacement Filter. Perfect. I unfold and cut this into four sheets measuring 6-3/8" x 4" to use for my Whytner CoolSize 10000 BTU Compact Portable Air Conditioner, model #: ARC-101CW. So, I'm getting four filters for the price of one. Love it.
