Vgate vLinker FS OBD2 USB Adapter for FOR-Scan HS/MS-CAN Auto Switch

I have purchased this cable 3 times now, the 1st time it did not work. The 2nd I had to always plug a USB extension and worked when it wanted too. However, I thought I would try my luck the 3rd time a I have received a working cable. *Clap Clap* Cable is a little bulky but sturdy, works great with 2 Ford cars I have scanned. The ForScan software in itself is amazing, however a working cable certainly put a smile on my face.

Not particularly mechanically minded but easily managed to clear some historical fault codes, reset the clutch touch points and ran a static dpf clean in about 2 hours after receiving. Car is now running like a dream. No problems connecting and fiddly switches to mess around with. 100% recommend having one at hand for your car

Excellent quality cable, works very well with forscan without bricking the module. It helped me recovered bricked module which was caused by another cable.

good price for a 'diagnostics tool' does what it says and holds a pretty good connection. sometimes doesn't connect unless you plug into laptop, then into OBD, then unplug from laptop and plug back in. (may be a versatuner thing tho)

Can't fault this item. Worked straight of the box with ForScan on a Focus MK3.5 ST-3 2.0 TDCI. No communication errors, allowed me to run features such as DTC reset, scan, recalibration of adaptive headlights (Xenon) and force a regen of the DPF. All very handy before MOT time. :) Just for further information, i ran ForScan with this ODB on Windows 10 22H2, not tested with Windows 11 but sure it would still work fine.

Like others, I bought this to modify the ‘target state of charge’ on my Ford Focus 12v battery, using FORScan software, and a Windows laptop (actually I used Windows 7 running on my MacBook Pro via Virtual Box). This is a widely recommended cable, if you’re in the UK Ford Owners Club forums, and it connects just fine with my Mk. 4.5 2023 Focus. You will almost certainly need to install the appropriate software drivers but there are plenty of instructions available via the web.
