LEGO Power Functions AAA Battery Box 88000

The battery box works as it's supposed to, works great. The price was a little much, but understandable due to the availability of older LEGO electronics, like its rechargeable counterpart. Haven't had any problems, it does the job perfectly.

A kid's review: This is a battery box for Lego Power Functions. It features a screw in the bottom (This requires 6 AAA [1.5 V] Alkaline batteries.), a power button, and a switch (If Amazon lets you comment on reviews, then please let me know what that switch does.). This product is compatible with the Lego Creator Expert Winter Holiday Train (Set #10254), as well as countless other sets which I do not own, and therefore cannot elaborate on. However, many Lego sets which are compatible with Power Functions have the pieces included, and those which do not have the serial numbers for the Power Functions parts required to motorize them, and the back, an installation guide. Insert the batteries, push the green power button, and you're ready to go! A great product for anyone who has a Lego set which can take this Power Functions piece.

You need more than this battery pack to run your train! There are other accessories to purchase to attach it to train, different wheels, and remote systems control. Followed other reviews got the expensive battery. Train flew off of track it is so powerful! Once we figured out the remote, we stopped using max power. Made lego come to life!

Makes controlling the Manuel part of the LEGO Rollercoaster go automatically and easy setup. LEGO even put into the building the gear that it connects to. No reconfiguring

This is an excellent component that we added to my grandsons LEGO Creator Expert Winter Holiday Train 10254 Construction Set. It works great but when the batteries are at full charge it seems to have a bit too much power for that particular train set. With fresh batteries the the train goes very fast and if your track isn't set up just perfectly it will derail because of the speed. As the batteries wear down the speed slows to a more reasonable pace. If it weren't for it being a bit overpowered for the Holiday train I would give it five stars.

We bought a train. I forgot to buy this one item when I ordered the rest with the train. I came to Amazon to get it quickly. It came on time. It works great.

This is the perfect battery box for any Motorized train unit, it has helped keep my homemad locomotive small and lightweight.
