Easy To Do With Little Hands!
I was really nervous to try this because I always struggled to get paint handprints from my little ones but this kit was very easy! I am also thrilled that I got my 9 month old's hand and foot from only half the kit so I was able to do my 3 year old's hand with the other half. I didn't care for the bright paint colors though so I used wall paint that we had. It all turned out perfect!

Lovely Kit - Has Everything You Might Need - Simple Project for Kids, Too!
I ordered this to take paw prints from my two 13.5 year old dogs. I figured I should do it now as opposed to in a time of stress right after they pass someday. My dogs are small, so I was able to get three good prints from one box, and I still have some of the clay leftover. I used a cookie cutter to cut the shape around the prints since the cutter provided is for childrens’ hands and is too large for my small dogs’ paws. The kit was so easy to use, the clay was moist and workable, and the additional decorative elements included are great. I will probably frame my paw prints with photos as a keepsake for the future, so I didn’t require the ribbons, but they are nice. After getting my dogs prints, it took about two days for the clay to dry thoroughly. I took someone else’s advice and covered them loosely with a damp paper towel to prevent cracking - Worked a treat! If you’re making ornaments with your kids, I think this is a great kit.

Great product and easy to use to make a cute tree ornament.
This product was great. Very easy to use. After rolling out on parchment paper, I had my 8 month old son put his hand in the clay. I used the provided circle to then cut out the hand print. I used a knife to ensure the clay was fully cut around the ring before pulling off the excess, and it worked great. The circle came out pretty clean. It is still drying, but the package says the clay is compatible with acrylic paint, so I will be painting it after. The stamps we're not the easiest to use, but manageable. For the price, it was exactly what I was expecting. It's great.

Good kit, possibly could DIY without
I bought this same brand for my oldest 3 years ago and now for my newborn. This kit has everything you need, but you could probably buy a tub of air dry clay at your local superstore and use a plastic straw to poke a hole in it just the same. The added bonus of the kit is the ribbons to hang your ornament, a plastic straw, a small roller, circle molds, and now they have plastic letters to imprint with (they didn't used to have the letter board), but the letters are so ridiculously tiny that I don't think they would be useful. Edit: I used a different brand kit recently on my 4 year old son and the air dry clay was more lightweight and pliable like taffy or styrofoam, compared to this brand which is like heavyweight stone once dry... This is much better quality. My child was two months old by the time I got around to getting hand and footprints done, but there was no way I could get two hand/foot prints using one of their circle cutter mold, so I ended up free handing it and made a larger circle, using the rolling pin to push in the edges for a more perfect circle. My other complaint is that the rolling pin is not wide enough so the edges of the rolling pin create lines that you then have to go back and try to smooth out, but the pin just creates more lines as you do that. Being a perfectionist I redid my prints about 5 times, slightly wetted one hand before re-kneading the clay so it wouldn't dry out and it worked every time without drying out. A couple tips: try to work in a sterile environment (clean countertops) and wear a clean short sleeve shirt. I kept setting my rolling pin random places on the kitchen counter and picking up food particles with it. I also picked up little lint/threads of fabric that likely came from my clothes and had to pick them out with a toothpick. It is definitely easier to get the prints done with two people helping. I rolled the clay out on wax paper on a cookie sheet then transferred it to a salad plate when getting the impressions. Uncurl their hands and release their fingers just above the clay.

Super easy to do
Very fun and easy to do. My baby’s hand came out so cute and held up beautifully on our tree. I didn’t use both packages but now I’m thinking to use the second for Valentine’s Day :)

Bad batch? Usually great, dry solid this year
I have been using this product for 6 years to make xmas handprints for my kids’ grandparents. I have tried other brands and this is by far my favorite. They are easy to use, dry hard (some other brands have a foam-like texture when dry), and one clay packet is enough for a 6-8yo’s hand (or 2 baby hands). You can only use the ring-cutter for babies, and the wooden “rolling pin” isn’t great. But you can easily replace that with a bowl. I was happy to see that this year the kit included letter stamps - FYI, sharpie works great once the clay dries. HOWEVER, this year, I ordered 4 kits (to save some for next year) and half of the clay packets were rock solid before I opened them. I tried adding water but that didn’t do anything; the clay was fully dry. Luckily, I could use the clay from the kits I intended to save and get all the sets done. I also wished the company sold the clay packets by themselves. All the extras are nice for the first prints, but they are just trash afterwards (especially when the kids’ hands are too big for the ring or stand).

I bet your finish product will look far away from the pictures they provide. The clay is difficult to work with as it is too sticky and you will not be able to get the cutters out of rolled clay. The rolling pin is so small you have to roll left side then right side of clay and unless you are a seasoned baker, the rilling will be uneven. The use of the cutters is so difficult that they don't even tell you how to manage it in the instructions. They pass right over it!! If you can roll out to the recommended thickness, try getting your baby's hand still to get a good pressing! If you don't, you have to start the horrid steps all over again. Want to place clay into cutters then roll out clay? Nope, not enough clay to reach the top of the cutter for an even roll AND the clay will be sticking to the whole inside of cutter when you try to remove it. Problems after problems. Truly regret buying this and wasted money. Can't return because did t do this project til well after available return date. Would give this experience less than a star if it was possible.

One of two clay packages came dry, cracked, and not moldable. In reading other reviews, I had added a few drops of water which seemed to have soften the clay, however it was a mess and the finish product was lumpy and a disaster. Second package of clay was perfect. No issues. For the price paid, I expected two good bags of clay. It also came with some letter stencils, and a cheap plastic stand. Overall a bit pricey, my opinion. Foot photo was the dry clay, hand photo was the good clay. Disappointed I couldn't get a better foot print. A two person job esp if your working with a newborn.
