Clean hands!
One of my favorite camp mess-kit accessories is a CRKT titanium "battle spork", but it falls short, quite literally, when eating right out of a can or MRE bag or freeze dried meal bag. The Tapirus spork solves the short utensil issue very well. The length is perfect for getting to the bottom of an MRE or freeze dried bag without digging your hand in there and getting all messy. While there are some really good titanium long handle sporks that are definitely lighter, this is still pretty light weight for the features it offers. I like the small knife although I did have to put more of an edge on it and the ferro rod is a well-intentioned touch. I thought about knocking a star because of the ferro rod, but it isn't bad enough to detract from the whole tool. The issue is that the knife and ferro rod do not work well together for consistent sparks. Using my Outdoor Element Scout Feather, I got much better results with the rod - I think the included knife just has too small of a section with the right blade geometry to get a consistent spark. Overall, this is a great set for the cost. Well-made, versatile, and lightweight, this is a great addition to the hiking/camping kit.

LOVE IT
The Tapirus Spork Tactical Green is a compact, durable tool that combines practicality and outdoor readiness in one design. Made from BPA-free materials, it offers a comfortable grip and reliable performance for camping, hiking, or travel. The stainless steel knife edge cuts smoothly, while the fire starter adds real utility for outdoor cooking or emergencies. Lightweight yet tough, it’s easy to pack and clean — a great all-in-one utensil for anyone who enjoys adventure and preparedness.

Surprisingly well built and useful
When I found this on Amazon I was skeptical 🤨. I ordered a couple to see for myself. They are high quality for what they are. I was most impressed that the stainless steel knife inside, is actually coated to prevent corrosion. The handle is long enough for dehydrated meal containers. Each unit comes with a flint steel that I would rarely use, but comes in handy should you really need one. The knife BTW is serrated and stiff. It won’t bend during normal use. All and all I would recommend them to others for any of their outdoor kit. I’ll be ordering a few more for myself again soon.

Pretty good.
I took this spork on a hiking trip and it worked well. It's long enough to reach into pouches of hiking food easily. I would have given it 5 stars, it's just the knife that I'm not a fan of. I think it can cut meat fairly easy but it's a little messy on apples, which I really like. But I still recommend it. Esay to clean and carry. And seems sturdy enough to handle hot food.

Great little multi-tool for eating while camping or hiking
I purchased the Tapirus Spork Tactical (Green) for a long section hike of the Pacific Crest Trail, and it was absolutely perfect for the trip! This multifunctional utensil is a must-have for anyone who enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, camping, or fishing. The cleverly designed spork combines a spoon and fork, and also hides a serrated stainless steel tactical knife and a fire starter ferro rod. The high-quality construction impressed me—made with BPA-free plastic and a sturdy stainless steel knife, this spork is both durable and lightweight, ideal for outdoor use. It weighs just 2 oz, making it easy to pack in my gear without taking up much space. Plus, it's dishwasher safe, which makes cleanup a breeze after a long adventure. The 3-in-1 design is incredibly practical. I loved being able to use the long handle spork for deeper meals, and when separated, it functioned as both a spork and a knife set. It also comes with a handy carrying case and paracord, making it easy to store and transport. Overall, the Tapirus Spork wass an essential addition to my hike load-out. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a versatile tool on their adventures.

Great Spork choice , my top pick. 5 stars
First off let me say I use a spork for camping and travel. I also keep one in my G H B & B O B (get home bag & bug out bag). I own quite a few sporks, some cheap and others not so much. They are often one of my go to stocking stuffers. So as part of my review, I am going to compare what I consider to be two of the best tactical sporks available at a reasonable price. The Ka-Bar all plastic and Tapirus. The Ka-Bar is smaller in every way and the serrated knife portion is plastic. This means that it is easier to pack, would be less likely to be consider a weapon. As an eating instrument the smaller spork portion and shorter length is somewhat of a disadvantage. The Tapirus larger size offers significant benefits as an eating instrument. The slightly larger stainless steel knife I consider a nice upgrade and adding the fire starter was an unexpected plus. While the price point is a little lower for the Ka-Bar, I am giving the nod to the Tapirus Tactical Spork. For camping the Tapirus is better in nearly every way. When traveling I will probably still toss in the Ka-Bar Spork. While long handle titanium sporks are a little lighter the overall usefulness of the Tapirus spork still make it the better choice. The Tapirus spork is a great choice for campers and backpackers.

Excellent spork for all your sporking needs
I was asked to leave a review for this product that I recently acquired as part of my backpacking kit, so I thought to myself “Self….why not leave a review?” So here goes… First off, it’s a spork. Which is great because it covers the utility of both a spoon and a fork, so …yea…. Secondly, it has a hidden shanky knife in the handle. Incase I come across any frisky black bears or inquisitive cougars, I’m sure I will be glad I have this assassins creed like blade tucked away for such an incident. It also has a flint/sparky/fire making rod in the core of the spork. As a good boy scout, I am never without some means of making a fire. This find was a friendly bonus that would make a sales person like Billy Mays scream how unbelievably good this addition is… Furthermore, it’s the color green. While not my favorite color, it is my son’s. So, this product also has that going for it. You might ask me what I didn’t like about this product and I will tell you! It came in a pouch….everyone who backpacks knows that ounces make pounds…ands pounds are heavy…. And I don’t like heavy when I’m trying to enjoy and experience all the goodness that the forests of Missouri have to offer. I plan to destroy by fire this unnecessary addition as a sacrifice to the backpacking gods (Hermes and ST. Christopher) before embarking on my next hobbit like escapade through the woods of Missouri. How I evaluated the criteria of my assessment: 1) does the tool do what it is suppose to A- yes, it performs the function of a spork well 2) does the tool have additional features to replace the need of additional tools A-yes and no, while I no longer need a spoon, fork, or knife, I feel other sporks would probably perform much in the same way as this one. I also carry 3 other knives what are better for their intended tasks 3) does the tool make performing the core task more cumbersome due to its involvement or being part of the kit? A- I would say it doesn’t, after all; enjoying food out on trail is a huge part of the experience for me and I would prefer to use a tool such as this rather than eat like a crazed heathen straight out of a pouch of tuna or boiling hot pot of molten oats. 4) is it the color green A- why mater-o-fact it is! 5) can I use the tool to make fire A- again, yes if you have the tinder and starter items to support it 6) does the item come with unnecessary attachments as to distract from its use A-sadly yes, the bag it comes with must be destroyed prior to my next adventure 7) is it worth the price? A- while I can’t speak for everyone reading this review, I believe it’s worth the price and I’d rather eat with this fine example of spork than resort to reducing myself to a common feral hog out in the woods eating food out of soon to be landfill trash pouch. 8) Does the tool have the answer to life, the world, and everything? A- NO, but the hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy does. SPOILER ALERT:42 9) can the tool be used as a weapon again thieving bears, undesirable encounters with cougars, and back woods baldknobbers who like pretty teeth? A- yes… but let’s hope it doesn’t resort to that… 10) is the item “tactical” in nature? A- jury is out on this one, I’m not sure many special operation operators have said “ if only I had a spork with a hidden knife and a ferrios rod, I could do what I need to do to preserve the American way of life” but ….if such an occurrence happened….and if the backpacking gods should be listening….I hope that a huge bald eagle wearing a Stars and Stripes bandana blaring freebird from Leonard skinner would appear and bear that “Fortunate Son” this exact spork! I hope this review has been informative, thought provoking, and enjoyable. Post script: while my in-laws will probably not want this item, they will all get one for Christmas.

Solid feel- great for my use
I have to say- I just got this thing and haven’t been able to use it yet- but it feels very sturdy- good long size- love the built in serrated knife & fore striker. I was worried that it was going to feel “cheap” but it 100% does not. Feels sturdy and feels like it will last a long time. For my use: I plan on having this in my winter emergency kit I leave in my car- along with some water- a wool blanket as well as small camping stove and some freeze dried meals and coffee etc. Just Incase I have to spend an impromptu night in the car due to storm or other issue as I drive a lot- and a lot of that driving can be at night on not so well traveled roads regardless of what the weather is doing- Might be over prepared but I’d rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it: My diy winter emergency kit in case your interested: Large ammo box from surplus store that contains: • large wool blanket • fire Kit ( striker, matches and lighter w Tinder) • a few gallons extra water ( in the car ) • 3 liter water bladder filled & ready to go • jet boil stove with 2 liter water • 2 propane/ mixed fuels for the jet boil • 3 freeze dried meals, 4 packs of instant oatmeal and other non-perishable snacks • extra hat, gloves and face guard • extra underwear and shirts • wool socks • life straw • Emergency SOL tent XXL • Tactical spork with back up fire striker • Flashlight/ USB power bank • 3 ponchos - 1 “Wooby” • First Aid Kit • Lock De- Icer Kit • dedicated knife This kit is really dedicated to having to use the car as a shelter in event of off road or black out snow- Always in the car during winter/ in general- Shovel- fix a flat- jumper cables - antifreeze- extra tools- a 9mm ( or two ) with 100+ rounds- a ton of water- extra power banks including solar- extra fire starters and about $200 in hidden stashed cash in bills (1’s, 5’s, 10’s , 20’s and a 50 ) along with about $30 in coins ( dollar coins, quarters ) and 20 or so American Silver Eagles. I should probably throw a back pack in there too but as of right now I don’t have one. In winter I always bring a jacket and extra park of boots with me each time I head out the door. So the car itself is kinda like a bug out bag- meets winter ready emergency kit. Am I crazy? Maybe- but am I prepared? Yes 100%.

Excelente spork
