I have used this soap for years; it is good and long-lasting compared to other papaya soaps. It adds radiance to the skin and works to lighten dark spots. I recommend it. KEEPING READING FOR UPDATE 9/2017 BELOW I read the reviews before buying this particular brand of papaya whitening soap. There were a few negative reviews, but I decided to buy it anyway. I originally bought this papaya whitening soap because, sometimes I use "lace front tape", when I wear a lace front wig, and the "lace front tape" started to make the area where I put the tape, darken my skin around that area. Really though the many products that are used in adhesives are not meant to put on the skin. Therefore glue or tape, some may experience hairline burns, irritation and a darkening of the skin. But To me, this is the best papaya soap ever! And it Foams up like nobody's business! after I used it in the shower and rinsed, my skin, it was squeaky squeaky clean! I don't think the skin on my face, or my body ever felt so squeaky clean like this before. It's like when you wash your hair, and you rinse it really well, and you get that squeaky clean feeling when you run your fingers through your hair that's what this did for face and my body! I just used a wash cloth, get the soap on it and it Foams up so, so good and just used it all over face and my body and rinsed it off, first with warm water, and then with cool water to close my pores. But, I had to use a good moisturizer on my face, and I used Queen Helena Face and Body Cream not the lotion the cream is thicker, makes my skin so very soft. I can see using this so over a period of time, the darkening area that's on my skin will lighten. So far I am extremely happy with this papaya whitening soap. If it starts to cause irritation, I would just use it less frequently, two or three times a week instead of every day _______________________________________________ UPDATE- SINCE 1st USE I wanted to let those who want my second opinion on this seemingly lengthy review know my experience in detail. I still love this soap. My skin has become lighter, especially on my forehead (using lace front tape), around my neck (front and back areas) and under my arm pits, elbows, knees, hands and even my feet. I believe that my armpits (where I use deodorant ), builds up a residue, and my elbows, knees and feet has built up layers of dead skin and I feel that this soap, due to the ingredients used, helps loosen up that dry dead skin and left over residues from products that I've used on my body for years, But this is just my opinion, for me nothing compares to this Papaya Soap. I've used many "sugar body scrubs" even "almond or walnut exfoliating body scrubs" which they do help. But to me, this Papaya Soap is the best. I don't use the Body Scrubs anymore, because this Papaya Soap does it all. Because when I shower and rinse with the Papaya Soap, while still wet, and rub my hands and fingers over my "squeaky-clean" skin, the dead skin that has now been loosen, it rubs off, and I can feel and see it! While still in the shower, I just rinse off again with cool water to close my pores, to see a lighter, cleaner fresher skin. It Works For Me and still is the " BEST SOAP EVER"

Honestly, the soap is very good. Smells nice and very silky to your skin and you feel refreshed. I gave it a 3 because of the size and the fact that it melts so super quickly. I've only used it for 2 days and it's already finished! It's far too expensive to use for only 2 days. If the bar was bigger and didn't melt so easy or if it came in bars of 3 or 4 then I wouldn't mind but for $9 for every two days (which amounts to about $125 a month) is not worth it. I usually use dove soap which about the same size but it lasts for at least a month and it only costs $3.50 (for three bars) so best I stick with that for now. If they ever adjust their prices then I would buy it again but for now I won't.

I've been using this soap since around February/March of this year with breaks in August and September since they were sold out. I absolutely adore it. It has reduced my dark spots, left me feeling clean, and although I mainly use it for my face - I have used it as a body soap too. Please note that if you have semi sensitive skin, leaving this on your face for too long will make it start to tingle and it leaves your skin quite dry so be sure to follow up with a decent moisturizer. And this soap dwindles rather quickly. But even with those three factors in play, I am still quite a fan. The scent is papaya and though I'm not a fan, it isn't overbearing. Its roughly $10 for two small bars which ordinarily would be something I opt for but I feel it works as its lightened my dark spots with consistent use, over time!

Left is the same soap from an order I got last year. Right is one I got this month. The new one smells super strong, different in color, and is really hard. Seriously, I tried to cut it and it damn near cut me back just for trying. I’ve been buying this soap for nearly 5 years. I don’t play about the products that go on my face and it’s almost disrespectful that they’d change up the formula so drastically without notifying others. This is the last time I’m buying from them.

Not so sure why this product has so many bad reviews but it works for me. Of course it’s not an overnight fix but it’s gentle enough for my sensitive skin and it doesn’t burn like Kojie San soap I’ve purchased off of Amazon. I use it every time I shower. I then use a toner, a liquid exfoliant (both from Paula’s Choice purchased here on Amazon) and I use Cerave to moisturize. It’s been working fine for me to slowly diminish the hyperpigmentation on my face. My face feels brighter and cleaner after my skin care routine. Even though this product has a bunch of bad reviews, it was sold out for a good minute and I couldn’t wait for it to be restocked as I had run out. Purchased Kojie San soap and it burned my face like crazy. I even started breaking out more. Thankfully this product came back in stock so I’m making sure to stock up on it. I mean, who doesn’t like clear, glowing and beautifully soft skin? Please keep this product in stock.
