Its driver technology has landed them in Time, Forbes, CNET, and CES Editors’ Choice Award - Extremely versatile: A pair of high-efficiency, open-back Planar Magnetics that don’t need a fancy amp to sound amazing. Listen to them directly from your phone, laptop, or desktop computer, or add a headphone amp to take them to the next level - Dual-sided magnet array: For uncompromising responsiveness and sensitivity, we implemented a dual-sided magnet driver array that uses magnets on both sides of the diaphragm membrane to generate sound waves. - Premium aesthetic, Comfortable feel: Like the HE4XX, the HE-X4 retains the fan-favorite: large earcups, plush earpads, and lightweight build. An updated headband provides increased durability and strength for uncompromsing comfort. - IMPROVED SENSITIVITY: On the sonic side, dual-sided magnet arrays similar to that of the HE5XX help the HE-X4 achieve improved sensitivity over the HE4XX—with a distinctly warm and subtly dark tone all its own. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B099XSFQY9 | | Additional Features | Lightweight, Tangle Free Cord, open-back | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Audio Driver Type | Planar Magnetic Driver | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,057,001 in Electronics ( See Top 100 in Electronics ) #11,271 in Over-Ear Headphones | | Brand | DROP | | Brand Name | DROP | | Built-In Media | Detachable 4.9 ft. 3.5mm cable, Hifiman HE-X4, Manufacturer’s 1-year warranty, ¼ in (6.35 mm) to ⅛ in (3.5 mm) adapter | | Cable Features | Detachable | | Color | Midnight-Blue | | Compatible Devices | Cellphones, Desktops, Gaming Consoles, Laptops, Tablets | | Connectivity Technology | Wired | | Control Method | Remote | | Control Type | Media Control | | Customer Package Type | Flat Free Package | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 out of 5 stars 102 Reviews | | Ear Placement | Over Ear | | Earpiece Shape | Over Ear | | Enclosure Material | Foam, Leather, Stainless Steel | | Form Factor | Over Ear | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00810027786142 | | Headphone Folding Features | Over Ear | | Headphone Jack | 3.5 mm Jack | | Headphones Ear Placement | Over Ear | | Impedance | 25 ohm | | Item Type Name | over-the-ear-headphones | | Item Weight | 420 g | | Manufacturer | HIFIMAN | | Model Name | Drop + HIFIMAN HE-X4 | | Model Number | HE-X4 | | Noise Control | None | | Number of Items | 1 | | Style Name | Over-ear, Midnight-Blue | | UPC | 810027786142 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | Manufacturer’s 1-year warranty | ## Product Details - **Brand:** DROP - **Color:** Midnight-Blue - **Ear Placement:** Over Ear - **Form Factor:** Over Ear - **Impedance:** 25 ohm ## Images ![Drop + HIFIMAN HE-X4 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/616+Zp0vWdL.jpg) ![Drop + HIFIMAN HE-X4 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51yYLG046wL.jpg) ![Drop + HIFIMAN HE-X4 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61IEqxdxJQL.jpg) ![Drop + HIFIMAN HE-X4 - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71EVnODwcDL.jpg) ![Drop + HIFIMAN HE-X4 - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71d610SEelL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What size mm is the two male plugs that go into the ear cups? Thanks.** A: 3.5 mm **Q: How much power, voltage, and current is required to drive them?** A: I don’t know the actual numbers but after trying different ones out, I found the IFI xcan and hip dac 2 had enough power. Only problem is you’re spending more on an amp/dac than your headphones haha --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.mx/products/362401204-drop-hifiman-he-x4](https://www.desertcart.mx/products/362401204-drop-hifiman-he-x4) --- *Product available on Desertcart Mexico* *Store origin: MX* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
