I removed the original armor from my Klim Dakar and Mojave pants and wear the Bohn Armor pants underneath instead. The combination is outstanding for comfort and protection. I'm 6'3" and 210-215lb and the Bohn Armor pants fit very well. I was concerned the pads wouldn't match my legs due to my height, but that's not the case. I always have to order 'tall' sizes and the lack of a 'tall' size in these pants was a concern for me. The material has enough stretch for all the armor pads (including the knees/shins) to be in the correct alignment while being comfortable. It doesn't bunch up or pinch in any locations.My first lengthy test of this set-up was during a two-day adventure tour for over 750 miles with high temps in the mid-80's, and I can honestly say I really didn't notice that I was wearing the Bohn Armor pants under my Klim Dakar pants. They were truly that comfortable and I didn't get hot and sweaty with the combination despite wearing them for 16+ hours on both days. Pairing Klim Mojave pants and the Bohn CoolAir armored pants should be an awesome hot weather combination. I was really happy that the pads lined up on my knees and stayed that way even after getting on/off my bike many times and walking around. I haven't found a pair of dedicated off-road knee pads that I can say that about. The full pants coverage of the Bohn material keeps their pads in place.I do wish there was a zippered fly which would make it much more convenient for guys, but it's not a deal-breaker for me.I am going to remain very careful when putting the Bohn Armor pants on and taking them off so I don't tear any stitching. I did hear a stitch or two break the first time I put them on. I think a person needs to be careful doing that and not treat them like a pair of jeans when putting them on or taking them off. Once they're on though, they're essentially perfect.The padding provides better coverage than the pads in any dedicated riding pants I've found, since they have substantial thigh pads and a tail bone pad, in addition to knee/shin pads, and hip pads. The pads are relatively thin but appear that they'd offer very good impact protection due to their density and quality feel; I don't remember if they're CE-rated. They don't add much bulk, but I think slightly loose riding pants should be worn. Removing the stock pads from the Klim pants provided that room for me. I do find it very convenient that all the pads are in one garment, and I don't have to hassle with separate knee pads, etc. It's also great that all the padding is underneath my riding pants. No one can tell how well-protected I really am.I plan on buying more Bohn products including their 'regular' armored pants for cooler weather riding. Price is just. *by S***V on Reviewed in the United States on June 8, 2016* The underpants are comfortable, and the protection seem to be well designed and I expect to protect me in an event of a crash.I wear it under kevlar-lined jeans. The problem with most motorcycle riding jeans is that the armor is hard to adjust. It is either too low or too high, or too lose. So I opted not to install the armor in my jeans, but wear the Bohn armored undies. Once on the bike, the armor disappears. It is very comfortable and unobtrusive. I commute on my motorcycle to work, and about half of the time I don't even bother to change, and stay with the Bohn underpants all day. I also wear them when I do offroad riding, and they are comfortable under a pair of enduro pants as well. On the back side, there is sewn a thick rubber logo pad, which catches on my pants; it has no place there, and I'd rather not have it. On sizing: I am slim, long-legged. I am between small and medium waist-wise, but the small would have been too short. Medium, too, is a just a tad short for me, but workable. Another minor issue is the knee pieces sliding down because the flap that keeps them in place is very light and stretchy.What I like:- Armor is flexible enough to be worn for prolonged periods- Tail bone armor- Zippers on the bottom for easy on/off- You can purchase a different shell for the winter and use the pads you have already purchasedWhat could be improved:- Remove the bulky rubber logo from the back- Make a tall size- Better secure the knee pads (a tiny piece of Velcro should do it- Offer Sas Tec armor (the current armor is comfortable enough, but is a bit 'springy', whereas Sas Tec is malleable and conforming)All in all, a good piece of protection. I have no regrets for purchasing it, and recommend it.UPDATE: I had the unfortunate chance to test these in a crash. I lost control of my dirt bike and flew over the handlebars at about 30 mph. The bike then came on top of me. I always wear heavy protection from head to toes, and it paid off. Other than a sore neck from the head bump and a minor bruise in the inside of my arm I was perfectly fine. Not even a minor injury on my shins, legs, thighs, or tailbone. I don't recall how exactly I tumbled and what I hit, but my enduro pants were ripped in couple of places. The Bohn shell, as thin as it is, miraculously, is completely intact and does not show any signs of what happened. I attribute this to a just chance than to the strength of the material, but the pads definitely did their job very well.UPDATE March 2021:On the pricing: Almost five years later, the pants are still used daily. The $175 seems high, but after being put on and off at least a thousand times, and worn for probably 40,000 miles, the shell is still holding up. So they have paid off in longevity. My son is now riding, and I am buying a pair for him.
