TRETORN Women's Nyliteplus Leather Lace-Up Sneakers

I cannot be the only GenX here who is freaking OBSESSED with finding Tretorns again. These shoes just make me so happy. They’re stupid comfortable and the leopard is just a nice touch to a cute casual outfit. They do run a tad big though. I generally wear a 9 in sneakers so after reading the other reviews I got an 8.5 and it’s a perfect fit. They look a little wider than I remember them being back in 1990, but I don’t even care. I have new Tretorns again.

Really comfy shoes that are also cute. I’m on my feet a lot at work and they’ve been really nice to wear. They did seem to scuff easily on cement but for the price, they are easy to clean, look great, fit great, feel great. I’m going to get another pair in a different color too.

When I was looking to replace my 4 yr-old Tretorns, I read the reviews about these running large. Lots of folks seemed excited to get the shoes they remembered from the 80's or 90's, so I figured they didn't have recent experience with them. Mine were only a few years old and had always felt roomier than other sneakers so I felt pretty confident ordering my usual 8 1/2 size. I was surprised (but shouldn't have been!) when they arrived and they were WAY too big for me. I returned them and got an 8 (which I NEVER wear). When I hold my new size 8 Tretorns up to my older size 8 1/2's, they are the same size. All this to say, order a 1/2 size down to avoid having to return them (even during checkout, I got a message this were a 'frequently returned' item.) New shoes are great now that I have ones that fit!

I love these, super cute. They fit perfectly. Ordered a 6.5 that's the size I take in shoes. I may return though, they kill my heels! I'm so disappointed. They are very comfortable otherwise. There's no support if you are looking for something that does have it.

It is comfortable and stylish for multiple uses. Unlike traditional fashion sneakers, this one is good for sports and is very light. I wear it when I play tennis. It also fits many outfits in addition to the casual ones. It goes with my wool coat from different brands including DVF, Max Mara, and Burberry. Some people tell me that I can wear it when it drizzles or snows (of course it won't work for a blizzard:)), but I haven't got a chance to try.

Back in the 80’s I wore Tretorns all the time. When I saw they were back, I was elated! However, when I received a pair, I was so disappointed. For one, the sizing is so off. I am between 8/9 depending on style of shoe. Usually a solid 9 in tennis shoes. The 81/2 loose in the heel, but my toes were squished and hitting the front of shoe. The 9 so big! I thought the wrong size had been sent. I tried a few different styles thinking perhaps my foot changed and that was the problem. Nope. All styles had the same problems (see my other reviews) The canvas shoes feel so cheap and have a weird grey/yellow tinge to them. Not the nice, fresh white. This style, referred to as ‘leather’ is definitely not leather. I won’t even call it pleather! More like rubber duck material. When I walked, the shoes made a squish and cluck like sound which reminded me of the sound rubber goulashes/shoes make. And these too are not a nice, crisp, fresh white. They look grayish. I tried, Tretorn, but, you let me down, repeatedly. It’s definitely you, not me. Looks like there will be no rekindling of our relationship. Thanks for the memories…..

They are comfortable, even for someone with smallish bunions. They don't slip off with our without socks. They don't have much padding, though, so several miles of walking around Rome (cobblestones) became uncomfortable. They also don't have any traction, so wet streets/cobblestones can be difficult to navigate.

I’m always skeptical about buying shoes online without being able to try them on. But I love the style and look of the shoe so much that I purchased them anyway. They not only were exactly like they showed online, but they fit great, and I’ve gotten so many compliments on them. It’s definitely a design you don’t see in the stores. So happy I took a chance and purchase these.
