I previously ordered the same one with batteries. It never would heat up. This works so good. I love it. It gets hot so be careful but works so well. Two seconds is all you need Perfect cut!!!

I am a crafter and I use a lot of ribbon on my projects. This is the best ribbon sealer I have found. It did break down after six months but I used it regularly so I was not surprised. It does not cut thick ribbon such as burlap or thick velvet but works great on all other fabric. I reordered and unless I find one that is better, I will continue to use this product.

Just what I needed to cut ribbons without fraying. Easy to use, works great! Would recommend if you craft with ribbons!

What a great concept. Unfortunately after the 3rd ribbon I was cutting, the cut piece of the ribbon melted onto the heated wire and got stuck. Then the heating wire came off as I was trying to get the stuck ribbon piece off. I tried to put the wire back in place, but it wouldn't stay. It would come off after every attempt after. So I was only able to cut 2 ribbons cleanly. They weren't even thick ribbons. Standard satin ribbons that was shiny on one side. I chose this one because it was USB powered vs battery. So sad I wasted my money on this.

I used this on ribbon for my Christmas tree. It worked amazing and works exactly as advertised but stopped working after only a couple of uses. I was devastated.

It’s too lightweight and will not stay in place while in use. There’s no way to measure your ribbon while in use and very hard to keep accurate measurements, hold the machine in place and get the ribbon cut accurately. I feel like I wasted my money.

I had been looking at this ribbon sealer for years, but the bad reviews always swayed me away. Finally took the chance, and so far, so good! It's been about 5 months since I purchased, and while I do not use it consistently, I've used at least a couple dozen times and it has cut and sealed ribbons beautifully. With that being said, I did just notice the top, specifically the button became extremely hot when heated up- borderline uncomfortable to cut the ribbon. Makes me wonder how long it'll continue to hold up. Also, I have seen some reviewers complain of the wires breaking- this is a somewhat expected issue with a ribbon cutter/sealer. There are replacement wires available, by the same manufacturer, online.

二つ折りにしてV字カットしたくて購入。 しかし、すでに所定の長さにカットしてあるラッピング用のリボンをやろうとすると、ヤケドしないようにしっかりはみ出させて押さえる必要があるためリボンの廃棄が多く、短くなってしまって結ぶのに支障がでました。 長巻のままのリボンでやる人向けです。 また、サテンリボンを二つ折りでやってみましたが、端が焦げるくらいやっても全然切れず、ナイロン系素材が溶けて熱線にこびりつくなど、対応できる素材も限られる印象です。 素材を選んで、かなり練習して挑戦する必要があり、やり直しできないリボンには向きません。

Great gadget to cut ribbons. Being a usb model is much better than battery. I would recommend any time.
