it doesn't come with a base to mount on a scope.

The base is shaped like a dovetail joint.

Q: Does this fit a Tasco Galaxsee telescope ?

This is for the finder only and does not include the base that it fits into. I think they should mention that. The base is dovetail shaped and is 31mmx22 1/2mm.
