Yes...very good quality for beginners.

Are these chisels delivered sharpened and ready to use?

Yes, they are already sharpened and ready to start chipping away at your project. Of course, depending on what wood you are using, an individual artist might want to sharpen them even more on their own. But I found they seemed well sharpened to go right out of the box.

How thick are the blades?

They are all slightly different, and they are all tapered, with a thinner thickness near the cutting edge and the thickest part of the blade being near the handle. Roughly, they are 0.2 inches thick near the cutting edge, and 0.25 inches at the handle end of the blade. If you need more exact numbers, this is what I measured for my set: 1": 0.195" --> 0.234" 3/4": 0.182" --> 0.245" 1/2": 0.186" --> 0.243" 1/4": 0.193" --> 0.246"

What are these chisels made?

Where? China. What? Alloy of steel and vanadium and small amount of chromium and possibly other metals in small amounts. Not rust-proof but hard, durable, and can be sharpened.

Looks Great

Even though I have not worked with these chisels yet they appear to be good and well finished. Contrary to some, these ones came sharp. So far I am happy with them.

Fairly poor finish in handle

Poor quality finish had to flatten the backsOverall poor finish on the grind use my Wet stone machine now would not recommend probably spend more money on a good set next time
