Review: A great intro/tutorial! - This was a very nice tutorial on getting started with Arduino controllers. I'd suggest buying the Make Electronics as a companion. Even if you've never done anything like this before, these books will getbyou started!
Review: Not for the casual beginner. - On first opening the book I was rather put off. The book is poorly written and disorganized. I am fairly knowledgeable of computer programming and electronics and i got lost right away. Many of the paragraphs jump between simple concepts and right into technical terms about the Arduino without any explanations tying the ideas together. I will be going to the examples and using the hands on approach to learning what is in the book.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ok for beginners!

Pros: it is a great book for beginners at Arduino (it is not, and shouldn’t be a “how to program” book. Cons: Explanation of breadboards is in an appendix, which I didn’t see until much later. Would’ve been nice to be reminded of that at the beginning of the book (say it! NOOB!). Some projects require hardware (I.e., the Lamp) that you won’t have on hand.
