UPDATE: After 48 hours, the time has finally adjusted properly. All is great! Pic 1: After 24 hours, the time had not set properly--the time zone was not correct (it says "E" instead of "P"). In this pic you can see the dimension (clock is 9 inches high, and the time letters take up 4.5 inches of that) Pic 2: After 48 hours, with some nice hand holding from support at Marathon, the clock did set itself properly. I've taken a pic with one of the jumbo clocks we own. Pic 3: It FEELS slimmer, but is it? Here is a pic of the slim and the jumbo from the edge angle. (It's only slightly slimmer, but somehow it feels a lot slimmer than it really is) *** I own five Marathon clocks. Most of them Jumbo sized. My favorite configuration is just like this slim one: time in huge letters (with seconds), temperature, date, AND humidity. it can get very dry in higher altitude, and it's nice to have a reminder to turn on the humidifier in my bedroom. overall, the best thing is marathon is a good company. they've been making nice, atomic clocks for awhile. after purchasing from amazon, they send a follow up email--and this time, i actually wrote back to let them know the atomic signal has not set the clock after 24 hours. they referred me to an actual person with a phone number--and he and i were chatting in a few minutes. he was very reassuring, and sure enough--after another day with the clock near a window, everything set properly. the ONLY time i had to return a clock was when I bought a jumbo marathon for hawaii. let it be known, that clock signals from colorado do not reach hawaii. :) as for the product, i love marathon's large number, atomic clocks. mainly, i used to hate dismounting every clock in the house twice a year when the time changes happened. so this solved that issue. the only thing that had been holding me back from buying more is the high price point of the jumbo (~$80). so when i saw the slim-jumbo at $49.95, i dove in. some nice touches are the temperatures can be toggled F or C. and the dates come in two formats ("european" where the day comes first, or "american" where the month comes first). if you for some reason want to set the clock manually--just hold down the mode button in front, and use the snooze/alarm to increase or decrease things. i think you have to also use one of the button on the back (12/24) to change the East, Mountain, Pacific designations when that is blinking. i had hopes that the very light background would make this easier to see in my dark bedroom. this still has not improved--it's the same as the old jumbo. but the tech support guy did mention they're working on a backlit one... overall, this is a minimalist/functional looking clock and at a much more reasonable price compared to the jumbo. PS, i did not receive this product free, discounted, or as part of vine. i paid full price, i needed a clock like this, and i chose independently amongst many competitor options.

Very sleek contemporary styling, the LCD display is sharp and clear, and the clock synchronized with its time source within 20 minutes after I hung it on my wall! Also, the clock has a fold-out stand for mounting on a desk or dresser, and has the ability to be used as an alarm clock. The downside is that the alarm clock control buttons are very small, and the clock isn't backlit to read in a dark room - so, this might be an unnecessary feature. But, since I bought this for use as a wall clock (it is quite large - 14.5"W x 9"H x 1"D), I'm really not worried about the alarm function. All in all, I am very pleased with this item and expect it to last for quite some time. It isn't the least expensive choice, but Marathon is a well-known maker of quality products, and I have confidence they'll be around if I have any problems with my purchase.

Big, bold, accurate, with easy setup and from across the workout room it is an instant view with no guess-work with a large seconds display as well as time. I will note that with winter shipment it comes out of the box looking like someone stepped on it and smashed the screen...just follow the instructions and let it warm up, then insert the batteries and wait 10 minutes...all is well, it then syncs with the time signal and you have a very nice wall clock. Excellent product.

very nice clock but I think something in my house prevents them from working right. I have bought two different types now and neither one will update the time by themselves...not sure if my house is haunted or lined with kryptonite or what but they just don't seem to want to update...not a big deal though as they still seem to keep pretty good time...they look nice and I am happy with them.I am working on building a sun dial in my front yard now so I can just update the time daily myself anyway...should work just as well. The clock itself is very easy to read,large numbers...easy to set manually if you have the same problem as I do an is just overall a very nice clock. The alarm sounds for 60 seconds and then shuts off on its own so you don't have to mess with it to turn that off which I really like. I would still recommend this clock even if you need to make a sundial to set it.

Great clock. Works very well. I rely on this clock all the time for day,date,time etc.

I purchased this clock for our office. It replaced a standard clock which was always falling out of time. I thought a large digital clock would be more accurate and less maintenance. When I received this clock it looked exactly as advertised. It's large and easy to read with a simple set up process. Since it syncs up with the atomic clock once a day I never have to worry about it falling out of time, date or have to adjust for daylight savings time. Since I have mounted it I have not had to adjust it and everyone likes the accuracy, visibility and variety of information is displays. It's an excellent product.

Marathon make the best atomic clocks I’ve found. They are the only ones who’s displays don’t fade or become illegible. The font is crisp, clear, and BIG. They can be easily read from the across the room. There are many other brands, I haven’t found one that lasts very long besides Marathon. Yes, they cost more — totally worth it...

I like this clock. It's hung on the kitchen wall. The display is large for it to be read from a distance. The temperature and humidity measurements are accurate. The overall information from the display is way better than you can get from an analog clock. I would recommend it based on its utility value. Also, for people who have difficulty reading time from an analog clock, this is a very good option for their awareness of daily hours. That was the main reason I looked for such product to help out an adult member of my family.

I can tell the time from the further most corner of the room, about 25' away, great feature. There is no problem to receiving the signals from where I live. I think it can be thinner, my laptop does more and only half of its thickness. I would give it five stars if it has auto backlight for telling time in the dark and a switch to turn off this backlight for someone doesn't want it.

Overall, the product is good, but… I live in an apartment on the 22nd floor. The den in which I use this clock is surrounded by cement walls, except for one west facing window. At first, although following the instructions repeatedly, I could not get the clock to set the correct time, until I moved it to a room with a south facing window. Then the time reset to the correct time. Today is fifty days after the date I set the clock and it is now slow by 20 seconds. I will need to reset it every couple of months. Other than that, it works fine and is a nice size. I would rather have a similar sized clock the gets the time via wifi.

Good clock. It got here faster than expected. Too bad it doesn’t glow in the dark.

The sole purpose I purchased this clock was for the self-adjusting feature advertised. I followed the manual. The clock did not adjust itself at first . To EST time. Note: I live in grimsby, Ontario. after a little over 24 hrs the clock adjust itself. I will keep you updated on whether the clock adjust itself when daylight time changes in winter.
