I love this thing
I shied away from SI belts because I used one last pregnancy together with my V2 supporter and it made my pelvic pain (from SPD) even worse. I realize now that it was because my pelvis was so far out of alignment it just exacerbated the issue. I have been careful about alignment this entire pregnancy (4th baby) and it has been remarkable the difference it has made. Last time, I was in tears over the pain every day. I couldn't push a vacuum or put away dishes or walk up stairs, forget sleeping in my bed. After 8 weeks of PT to get me realigned the the pain was nearly gone, but I still had a low threshold for any activity. This time has not been nearly as bad, and I credit this belt with a large part of that. I have been able to tolerate much more activity and recovery time when I have an accident or practice bad body mechanics is much faster, I can do all of my regular chores, I even dug up and transplanted some bushes the day after I got this and had no pain whatsoever during the process. That's crazy! It really provides a ton of stability, and I find it more comfortable and easier to use than similar products. I wear it over a long tank because the strap tends to irritate if I don't. As for love handles, yes, ive got those. It actually not as bad as with just a v2 supporter (which I also wear) because the bulk of the straps make up for some of the compression. But if you're terribly concerned about it, perhaps you don't really need this. It's worth every roll. I find that if I put it on in the morning, I'm ready to be free by about 5 or 6 in the evening.

It does work, but is cumbersome
This belt did help with my SPD, however it is incredibly annoying. I didnโt like that it was a 2-piece belt. It took a bit to get it on and off (the Velcro was very strong) and the belts would shift in the back. I used it at 27 weeks pregnant. I found the Serola belt to be much more helpful and easier to put on and remove.

Excellent Support!
This belt is designed to help with SI joint and pelvic symphysis pain. When you are pregnant, elastin can make the joints unstable or even begin the stretching apart before baby is in third trimester. This is especially helpful if you have had multiple children, as with each successive pregnancy your joints open more and earlier than previous pregnancies. I am currently pregnant with my fourth child. Before I purchased this belt, I was in significant pain, and walking across the room at the beginning of the second trimester I had to waddle, and it was difficult. Prior to this pregnancy, I was very physically active, hiking and running, doing yoga, regularly. It was a significant change. The very first day I wore this belt, I was not only able to walk around the house feeling lighter and more nimble, I was able to hike again. After a day of wearing it, the pain in the pubic symphysis was completely gone. I take this off for when I expect to spend a lengthy time sitting, or at the very end of day. Other than that, I wear it ALL the time. I tried a regular stretchy maternity belt, and while it was less expensive, it did not help with pelvic pain--although it did relieve some pressure off of back, I was back on the couch unable to walk across the room without pain again within a couple of hours. THIS belt, however, gives immediate results. I wear it over my maternity pants and wear a shirt over it. It shows a little ridge in the front depending on how thin the shirt is, but it is more comfortable this way and I rate my body's health over something superficial that probably no one will notice or care about. It is worth the price, and it is very hardy material. We plan to hike at the Redwood National Park in less than a week and I feel confident that I will be able to enjoy my visit because of this belt. If you are an active person and having pain in the pelvic girdle with your pregnancy, BUY IT, lol!

Works fine- but doesn't provide real support to the SI
Works great! The only thing I would like to mention is that there is not support or padding for where the actual SI bone is. My physical therapist prefers to have additional support so I have to fold a wash cloth and put it in between the bands when wearing it. It's also not real clear how to put it on, so I wore the bands inside out the first day.

I bought this product as recommended by a friend who was told by her physical therapist that this was a great product(and she agreed). I was very excited upon arrival and wore the belt to work the very next day. I am 7 months pregnant and on my feet for at least 8 hours. I was soon disappointed. The first layer does not stay on correctly and shimmies up or down creating creases that are very uncomfortable. It is very inconvenient when trying to use the restroom. I have used the product a couple days a week now for about 3 weeks and the belt looks worn and the places the Velcro attaches to is falling apart/becoming very frayed. The instructions contained in package are hardly useful. A 1/3 page on the back of the advertisement did not fully help me understand if the unevenness was due to my applying the belt wrong or not. I tried it every which way I could following what instruction was provided. I spent $50 on this product, I wanted to return after the second use but the sheet says cannot be returned because it is a personal item. With a newborn on the way I am obviously unhappy with a product that I do not feel is right for me, that cannot be returned. As far as whether my back pain was relieved or not, at the end of the day I still have to do my stretching and hot shower/heating pad to become comfortable enough for bed whether I wore the belt or not.

Not quality as expected
This belt did help with my SI pain, but after only wearing it for 2 weeks (not even as often as recommended) a hole formed on the under band where the Velcro needs to stick. Therefore, it would not properly stay together with the large hole. This product is fairly expensive and I would expect it to hold up for longer than 2 weeks. I contacted OPTP and they will not stand behind their product. I would have loved this product if it did not come apart so quickly. I am very disappointed.

I was thrilled to find my belt in the mail after waiting 3 weeks for it to be delivered. I was 7 months pregnant and seeing my chiropractor weekly for pelvic and hip pain. This belt helped relieve 95% of my pain and has lowered my chiropractor visits to bi-weekly now instead of weekly! Progress! After about 2 weeks of wearing this belt consistently, as prescribed by my chiropractor, I found the Velcro started becoming less "sticky" and the belt would undo itself if I bent over or leaned to the side. I would readjust the belt and it would stick for another short while before it came undone. Now, it doesn't even stay. You'd think that, after paying over $100 for something, the quality would be much more sturdy. I wish this belt was more durable because it was really doing what it needed to and I was feeling great! I'm currently 8 months pregnant now, and I guess I'll just suffer through the rest of this pregnancy...
