Packaging was in an anti-static ESD packet which follows standard semiconductor protocol. The fit into my iphone 6 was perfect. Very easy to install and I tested it for power, speaker jack output , and the lower microphone which is used for cell phone talk. The lower mic became defective so this is what I needed correct. Everything now works as it should. It's worth the extra cost to get good quality.

Some things to note for people opening their own iPhones: - This product does NOT come with screw drivers and tools to open your iphone. - I used tools that came with a replacement battery I bought some time ago. - There is a little microphone nub that needs to be transferred from your old port to the new one. - There also is a small metal ring holding a wire that needs to be transferred from your old port. - (Just take a picture after you open it, and look at the new part, see what's different so you preserve the right pieces) The disassembly and reassembly took a total of around 30 minutes, but I also had experience opening it before replacing the battery twice in my phone's history. Just follow online guides step by step, and you should be fine. YouTube videos also help. Otherwise, this part has worked flawlessly so far. My completely-drained battery came back to life after plugging in my phone for about 5 minutes, and it works like new! Would recommend for anyone looking to replace their own charging port for iPhone 6.

My iPhone 6 had been having soooo much trouble charging. I would have to keep it in a certain position, sing to it, coddle and pray that it would charge. This little item saved us! (and saved us the $55 the repair shop was asking for!) I've opened up my iPhone many times, so I knew what to expect when changing something out. This was as easy as it could be to replace. Everything works wonderfully. There was no problems at all - just make sure to follow the directions backwards when putting all of it back. Great product at an amazing price!

Second time I've replaced the charging port on an iPhone 6. This time, the single wire connector for the antenna did not snap into place. I was far enough into the job when this showed up that I just went ahead and completed it so that I can use the phone. I got lucky and the cover that fastens over the connection held it in place well enough. I can't be certain whether this flex circuit had the issue or the connector on the phone side. However, the one I removed was properly mated. I'm a former electronics packaging engineer, so installing a flex circuit is not foreign to me. This came without tools. Tools that came with a battery purchase were adequate. You do need some iphone screwdrivers and tweezers. I've now used this a few weeks and the plug on the charging chord snaps into the phone connector and makes a good connection for charging as it should.

It's amazing that this assembly can be sold for only about 10 bucks. It has a lot of details. I bought it because the charge port on my iPhone 6 was working intermittently. It's not an easy assembly to replace. It took me hours the first time. My first attempt was not entirely successful; I dropped a tiny coaxial cable clamp under the flex circuit, and had to peel it up. I think that I made a small tear in the flex circuit board when I peeled it up, and the result was that the speaker used for the ringer did not work. I bought another of these, and the second try was a charm (and it went much faster than the first try). This action, in conjunction with replacing the battery, left me with a phone that works as good as new.

**refer to YouTube videos for proper installation procedures and techniques** my brother’s black iPhone 6 had problems with the charging port. so i bought this charging port dock connector. it fits the phone perfectly. the dimensions are accurate, and i didn’t have a hard time installing it. the earphone jack and the charging port were both a bit tight, which is good to avoid loose connections that may affect charging and listening to music. now my brother has no more problems charging his iPhone 6.

item was defective. after intstallation on 4/18/19 phone showed that the headphones were connected at all times and they weren't. This caused the upper ear speaker used for normal calls (not the loudspeaker) to not function at all. I tried many hacks showed online but nothing worked. I then connected the old hardware back to see if problem persisted and phone stopped showing earphones connected all the time and went back to normal. originally I wanted to replace hardware because mic wasn't working properly.

I wrote a review back in January saying that the installation was easy and that I would update the review later to let y’all know if it was still working. That review got removed for some reason, but I’m back to say that this part is still working 9 months after installing it. I have zero regrets about this product. It has kept my phone working without losing service or any trouble charging. I would buy this part again if the current one ever stopped working.
