Better then expected. Love it.
Wasn't sure what to expect but this tent killed it. Me and My girlfriend went camping in December rained 4 days straight. No leaks held up great stayed dry and super warm with a tent stove. Really impressed. Light weight super easy set up and take down. Got reflectors on the guylines very night at night you see them stakes are easy to spot. I love this tent. It's perfect for two with a stove. Maybe three with minimal gear or store gear out the tent 3 comfortable. Great choice for a first time buy without breaking the bank.

Great for forts!
I bought this for my kids as a little fort to put in the woods up behind our house. They love it. Stands about four foot high so adults can't stand in it, but you can sit in a folding chair. Has a vent for a stove. I can imagine this being great for hunting. Possible ice fishing as well, though you would need to figure out how to anchor it as it uses spikes. Relatively easy setup. Make sure you put it on FIRM GROUND. Originally set this up in the yard which is soft ground and the spikes kept coming up and the tent would collapse. Needs to be in an environment where spikes can be firmly secured.

T2 Weight = 8 lbs. / 3.64 kg
Review of the Preself T2 large tipi hot tent by me, a backcountry hunter, in July 2025: This is a good value compared to high-end/top-shelf hot tents. One thing to note is that the overall system, including the tent, stakes, center pole, and bag, but not a bug net/nest or footprint, weighs 8 pounds (3.64 kg). The center pole alone is 1.6 pounds and could be replaced with a carbon fiber pole. Regarding the seams: they do not need additional sealing (yet); the tent is essentially "waterproof" - I tested with a hose and wind/rain. The stove jack is pre-cut but may be widened with a knife. The stove jack material is, in fact, fireproof. The sewing is fine, but the stitching could be tighter; there are no comments on the thread material. The stakeout points are good. The stake guide (a circular diagram with a pre-cut radius strap) is smart and handy, making setup fast, ~10 minutes. The extra storm tie-outs / guy wires are good. The stakes are good quality, aluminum. There is adequate room for three people with the stove, four without. We put two full-size cots side-by-side on one side of the tent pole with the stove on the other. Two roof vents are fine. Two doors are large, zippers good YKK. Snow skirt good. I am 6' tall man and can comfortably stand up in the middle and change clothes. It is possible to run a clothesline inside for wet clothes to dry in hot air above stove.

Best designed tent I've owned.
First of all, this is a 3-4 person tent that 3.5 lbs. That's insane. It's very hard to find 2 person tents that are that light. Some people may not like floorless tents, but I prefer it. You save on weight and the tent stays clean. Win-Win. Most of the time you want to have some kind of ground sheet or sleeping pad anyway. There is almost no mesh in this tent, which I think is actually a plus. Less fabric that can rip or tear easily. There are a couple very small mesh air vents on top, which I think is perfect. The tent is spacious enough that the air doesn't get stuffy, and you can pitch it in such a way that air can flow in when the wind blows on the bottom edges, without letting mosquitoes in. This tent is versatile for many different seasons. The white color stays cool in the summer and reflects more heat back inside in the winter. I haven't tried it in winter, but a big challenge in winter camping is dealing with the floor, as you will quickly get a bathtub floor either muddy or wet, and you usually have to clear or stop down the ground before pitching. The floorless design avoids that, and it's really nice that they include stove jack material for you. I have made a simple fireplace like stove from a paint can and 3.5" metal duct, and I intend to try this out with that. You could definitely sleep 3 people in this tent, but 4 would be pushing it. But even as a 1 person tent, it's great, because there is plenty of space and you don't feel cramped at all. It's just so much more relaxing to have plenty of space and not feel cramped like you would with most tents. The double doors are nice, so you can use it almost like a beach sunshade. Everything it comes with, from the stakes to the guy lines, are a good choice. At first I was worried about being able to find good ground to pitch this, but I took it out in the canyon yesterday, and instead of staking it down, I used branches as toggles which I anchored under rocks. Even if the ground is not perfect, you can usually find a good fit, and it is very easy to adjust. This is the number one tent I would recommend to anyone, unless they are going for something very specific. But it is just so easy to use and versatile, it's hard to beat it.

Worried about price? Dont be!
Have used tent twice now. This is a AWESOME tent. Not for the price, just a awesome tent! All seams sealed up. Seen some reviews that said it didn't have enough guy ropes or stakes. Mine had everything. It is a bit small once you have stove and sleeping bag set up, plus a full size dog, but it measures exactly what description said. We did sleep comfortably, even at 0 degrees F. I wish it did have a half or whole floor as well as a snow skirt, but I bought it (initially) because it was inexpensive and I want to try one out. I will look for a larger model, with skirt and floor from same brand as I am impressed!

This tent is 2 people tent tbh. Due to the teepee shape of the tent a lot of space is lost on the sides. I had a stove, a stretcher and my backpack in there and it is tight and limited movement space inside while cooking on the stove inside the tent. Center pole in the middle of the tent doesn't help while trying to move inside but it is expected due to the shape of the tent so no surprises there. One surprise is how thin thepole is.A gust of a strong wind and that thing will break so replacing the pole is my 1st priority for making this tent a safer tent to sleep in. Had it in a light rain and it held up well. I still need to test it in heavy rain and use it a few times to be able to say it is fully waterproof. I do like the tent and for my fishing/camping trips it is just fine . Double entry is a plus as well. It packs fairly small and it is very light. I give it 3 stars due to false advertising as a 3 person tent.

Just used this tent for the first time last week, and I was pretty impressed with the build quality and loved that there is a template for laying out your pegs prior to raising the tent. From there you just hook up the pegs and raise the centre pole, tie off the guy lines and it’s good to go. Pegs are great quality as well and the guy lines have elastics to secure them when packing it away. The one issue I had was that the stove jack was pre cut to fit a 3” stove pipe. I have a small stove with 2” pipe, and I was expecting a stove jack that you cut to size.

For one man, it is suitable for winter camping in general. I also used a bed with the tent, so the bed fit right in the corner. The tent as a whole does not take up much space, but if you want more space, then look at tents for winter fishing. In general, the assembly process is very simple and the material perfectly copes with its task.

I set this tent up and used it with a stove I built myself it worked great no issues . Take your time with the zippers and look after your tent and this will treat you well for a long time . Exactly what I was looking for. Note stove not built to be fancy but suits me and my needs and is super safe with a fire shelf inside no sparks to fly out .
