Guitar strings are largely personal taste, but I love all the elixir coated strings. This in particular are nice and warm sounding. I’ve never had an elixir string break and tension is pretty low for an acoustic with these light gauge strings. They cost more than uncoated strings but last way longer so you get your moneys worth. The coated string feel/sound isn’t for everyone, but it definitely is for me.

Sure they're more expensive than regular guitar strings, but they live up to the hype-snd beyond. Once you use Elixirs, no other string is good enough. Well worth the extra money for their sound and durability.

They sound great. Aside from one little problem, the G string broke while I was winding it while stringing the pack onto my takamine acoustic guitar. Albeit, it may have been that I wound the machine head too fast and the tension velocity was too high for the string's tension threshold per second which may have caused the string to break from winding too fast (impact pressure, heat buildup within the string's metal alchemy, for instance) but luckily I had my local downtown music store hook me up with a dadario G string for 99¢ to replace it. So I didn't have to return the pack and wait another 2-3 days for a replacement pack from amazon (which by the way is less than half the price of small music store prices for packs of strings). So I got the g string, strung it up with the rest of the elixir pack. Anyway, the strings sound excellent. I can even hear a substantial difference in the sound clarity and brightness between the elixir wound strings vs the extra single string I bought for 99¢ from the local small music store. I've been playing Damien rice, iron & wine, and other acoustic songs since I restrung the takamine yesterday. And it seems they've settled and stretched pretty well in the span of just one day. In fact, I liked the strings so much I ordered a second set on Amazon. This time, the Polyweb's for about 10 bucks! Can't complain about that.

These have been my go-to for years. I found and strung a ten-year-old set of these on my main acoustic since I wasn't playing out with them and they still sounded great for a few weeks. I prefer the 11-52 thickness due to it's playability and bendability. Whatever the gauge, these feel great and you don't slip on the coating.

I have been using Elixir Strings since 2005, on the recommendation of the luthier who reset the neck on my guitar. 20 years later, and I'm loyal to this brand! I use either light gauge or extra light gauge 80/20 Bronze on my 6-string and 12-string guitars. These strings stay brilliant and long-lasting. They can sound warm or cutting-edge, like in Bluegrass Music. I find that if I am gigging several nights a week, they still last and sound great. My hands sweat acid and corrode regular strings. These have a coating that protects the strings and makes them last longer. I find the price here better than in a music store. Different gauges are available from extra light to medium.

Ich zieh die Saiten wiederholt auf meine Yamaha Dreadnought 720. Die Klampfe ist mir vielen Saiten nicht weich und warm genug und dabei trotzdem durchsetzungsfähig und definiert. Ausdrucksfähigkeit und Dynamik stimmen damit für meinen Geschmack echt gut. Langweilig klingt es nicht, sondern Solo und mit Andern zusammen geht echt gut. Ja, ich hab auch n Paar Saiten von anderen Marken raus, die gehen aber die sind halt eventuell einen kleinen Tick teurer, aber dafür leichter zu bekommen. Die Gitarre hab ich oft im Personalraum meiner Arbeit und auch andere Spielen damit, kommen gut klar und die Saiten halten echt lange, also volle Empfehlung von mir!

Saiten vollständig und neu, nur die Verpackung leicht angerissen. Kauf‘ ich wieder, spart jede Menge Geld
