Plus the c-clip design is much better than the flimsy sheet metal retainer that comes with the auto parts store version. Review: Finally!! A decent bushing! - After going through multiple packs of store bought bushings with half the durability of egg shells I ordered these. MASSIVE difference! In my case they were *slightly* harder to tap in (not a bad thing) but they are sturdy enough to handle the extra effort. Obviously, don't wail on them like they owe you money. Stay chilled and check out the many great videos online if you haven't done this before. As durable as these were during install I don't expect these to fail any time soon. I bought a kit to fit my Chevy and it fit. I could only repair one door because the kit was missing a bushing and a keeper. Then the bushings wore out within two years and I have to fix it again. I won't buy the cheapest, instead I will get the best. **Q: Are the bushings brittle material** A: They are soft but not brittle. **Q: Will this fit a 1999 c8500 truck** A: Not sure. I bought this for a '96 Chevy truck. It came with a keeper and bushing missing. I serviced one door and the bushings wore out last year.
