do they come off when you sweat? Do they run and make a mess?

They aren't bright enough to make a mess. It's pretty much just like a pen for the skin, not like paint. They do not last long, but are still fun for kids.

Dose it come off in the shower

YeS...these Ink-a-do-Tattoo Pens wash off easily, by hand but especially in the shower! Amazing FuN pens for "kids" of ALL Ages!!!

Does it come off clothes

We can't guarantee it on all fabrics, but so far every mark we've made has come off in the wash :)

Do these work on dark skin?

I don't think so. The colors aren't probably vibrant enough to be able to see much but guess it depends how dark of skin you are wondering about. They do work well in general and come off easily. My children love them.
