A lovely bee house with many interesting "homes" in it so plenty to watch and share with children. It is heavy so will need a secure fixing.

Ive had this for about a year and the insects/ bees/ bugs have made good use of their new home. Well made, looks nice and easy to install. As it is a wooden construction for outside use it does require a little tlc due to weathering. Overall I and the new residents are very pleased and recommend

This bug hotel is really very nice. Well made, attractive and a good size. It took pride of place on my wall only hours after it arrived. It has an open front so I don't think the weatherproof question is applicable and time will tell about sturdiness. Nothing lasts for ever sat outside in the rain. The only issue I have is with the mounting, a single flimsy hanger at the apex of the roof. It doesn't seem strong enough for the weight of the bug hotel and with only one fitting it will move in high winds. It is partially hidden behind the hotel, good esthetically but it makes it difficult to fit a secure retainer. All you can do is hang the hotel on a screw with a thin head and I am sure that it will not survive over time. I fitted a small strip of wood under my bughouse which stops it swinging and I could then brace the house against the top fitting. An easy fix and I am now just waiting for guests to arrive.

This bug house is fab.its made well.i will be varnishing it to protect it from bad weather.i always find things last longer doing this.it looks great & good value for money & we are doing our bit to help the insect population,which is a great thing.it would make a wonderful gift.i would recommend this

This 'hotel' is very well constructed and certainly worth the money. I reinforced the joints with panel pins as a matter of course but there's really no real need. The single hanging tab is sturdy and won't detach any time soon. I've located the hotel towards the bottom of a fence in a sunny but secluded area where it faces away from the prevailing weather and where the front is also sheltered by a bush. The winter sun will now warm the hotel while the hibernating inhabitants will be protected from wind and rain. Do make sure you locate this hotel for the benefit of insects! Don't just regard this as a garden ornament or a feature of interest for people, otherwise insects probably won't use it. Keep away as with nesting birds. That means tucking it away in a secluded area and then leaving it alone. Certainly don't let young children near as they may well interfere with the hotel and do things like poke sticks in the holes! My hotel has many insects crawling over it already so I'm sure they'll settle in over the winter. Yours will too I hope.

Very good quality, fits just right for where we placed it. Bamboo sticks a bit loose but put in an extra one and it was ok. Great design. Ideal for all insects. No assembly needed.
