Digestive Support, Papaya (100 Tablets - 60 Grams)

I use this to prevent GI Stasis for my almost 7 year-old Lionhead Dwarf. This is my 4th bun, and I used papaya tablets from another company, which did not always help with stasis. This tablet however, is a game changer. I give my bun 1/2 tablet in the morning and 1/2 in the evening for prevention. (Some complained that their buns don't like the flavor, however my bunny liked it right away! It has a peppery smell, which he seems to like!) There are times when I need to increase the dosage when he is shedding and I notice his poop strung together with fur, so I will give him an additional tablet. But, it works!! It is a little expensive, but worth saving the life of your bunny! "An ounce of prevention, is worth a pound of cure!!"

This Papaya and banana enzyme digestive support is awesome! I’ve had to use it more than once when my bunnies go into stasis. Stasis is when they stop eating and pooping. It’s very serious and no time to waste. I keep it on hand at all times. For a full grown Tamuk bun I will give her about 5-6 smallest of syringes of unflavored baby mylicon drops first at least 3x’s a day. Don’t worry it’s not absorbed into their system. It’s lubricating their digestive tract to get the blockage moving. You can give them more if needed. Then 2X’s a day I crush the Papaya tablets with a small pestal and mortar and add enough water to make a very thin paste. If it’s too thick it won’t go in the syringe. (You can get plastic syringes (no needle) at a Walmart pharmacy for free.) Just let them know it’s for your sick bun. Just give it in small increments and make sure they are swallowing it each time. My buns really like the flavor and will lick their lips each time. At the end I put a little extra water to get all of it from the bowl. Then I put them in their exercise pen for a little while so they hopefully move around a bit. Make sure they have plenty of accessible water and hay so they can start to eat and drink when they want to. I keep up this routine until they are pooping and eating good again. Be very gentle as stasis is very painful even if they don’t show it. The instructions on the back of the bag are good to read. It’s easier to manage with 2 people. I also put the bun on a table top. It’s easier to administer that way. I have a vinyl mat on my washer machine and it’s taller than a regular table top. Which is easier. If they’ve never had a syringe feeding before you just have to slide the syringe in the side past the teeth and angled to the back of their throat. I will take my left hand and gently cover their eyes and to help hold their head steady ever so gently just when giving it to them. Let the other person pet them and talk sweet to them making sure that they don’t jump away. Once they are pooping again and eating it’s a good idea to get some bena bac from Amazon and follow the directions on the tube. The probiotics will help get their digestive tract back on track. I hope this helps someone else to save their bunny.

My 6 year old rabbit loves these and they do the job. My vet recommended these since my rabbit had a hair ball and had to go under anesthesia to get it removed. I then got these and then had no issues. As time passed I actually forgot to buy more and forgot all about them. I recently re-ordered them since my now 9 year old rabbit has been having some digestive issues and running poops. once he started taking these again, no issues at all.

My bunnies love these! They get one as a daily treat but it also gives me peace of mind for when I can tell one of my buns if having tummy issues. A couple of these treats and some critical care does the job. Worth it for your buns health(

Couple of weeks ago my 3 yr old Bun had a scare with minor Bloat. I had to have her hospitalized for four days. I never even knew what that was. I just thought it was GI Statis but apparently they are two different things but both deadly. Bloat is much more serious then GI Statis because it can happen suddenly w/o warning. Luckily she pulled out of it and fully recovered. She tends to shed a lot through out the year & loves to groom herself so that might have been the culprit. Since, I already give her the Sherwood Pellet which she absolutely is crazy about so when I discovered they made a product for digestion, I was eager to try it. My Vet warned me that most rabbits don't take to it but I had to try something. Day one of giving her the treat by hand which I split in half, she didn't seem interested at all. Just walked away from it after couple attempts. Then I just decided to drop the two pieces in her enclosure hoping she'd changed her mind. The next day I totally forgot about it but then realized she had eaten it since they were gone. So I wanted to put it to the test by taking out the bag again & giving one by hand again. Oh boy did she run up to me very excited about getting it. I was totally shocked. It's been over a week and she loves it! When she hears the bag she goes literally nuts! I'm so happy that it worked out. For those that failed the first time, don't give up, your bun will surprise you just as mine did. My advise, if they don't take, just leave it in their cage and they will eventually come around. That's what my Henny did! Now she's addicted to this stuff! And it's good for her too!
