**Q: Hi! How long does this keep at room temperature?  Does it have an expiration date?**
A: Cookie Icing is freshest if used within 18 months. There is a stamped manufacture date code on the product that is five digits - for example 17114, the first two numbers are the year (2017) and the last three are the Julian date (114th day of the year - April 24).

If the items you have are out of their freshness range they are not harmful if consumed, but they may not perform as a fresh batch would.

**Q: Is this the same as royal icing?  And, can I use it to stick together a gingerbread house?   Thanks**
