Does it turn off iPad when it closes?

It turns off but pnot completely like you would have to boot up again. It is on again when you open it,

Do you still put a screen protector on the iPad or does one come with this

It does not come with a screen protector. However, the cover does close over the screen so I didn’t think I needed one. This works fine for me!
