The taste is tolerable since the price is pretty good. My most recent order looked strange, smelled bad, and did not taste good at all. Majority of the bars looked like this. I have never seen them have this white stuff on it. They don't expire for another 7 months so not sure what happened. Aised from this instance, I have also noticed the bars getting smaller. They fall deeper into the wrapper. I measured a few the other day and with the wrapper they were averaging about 42 grams each when they are supposed to be 50 grams.

I received an opened box of Pure Protein bars. There were 11 bars, not 12. I requested a postage-paid label and a refund. I received neither, despite "Free Returns". The bars are in the garbage, since I don't know if the remaining bars are safe to eat. Very disappointed in the seller WorldPantry.com. I buy these for a high school athlete family member who enjoys the bars. I'll have to find another retailer.

I've been buying these bars for a while. Some of them taste alright, some are bleh, but for the macros on the package they were hard to beat. Until recently. One shipment I got, I noticed immediately the bars had shrunk; they were thinner and shorted. I weighed them (yes, I am that petty) and every single bar was anywhere between 5-10g under the reported 50g on the package. This happened on just the chocolate flavor in my three pack variety I bought; unfortunate as that's one of the better flavors. I emailed the company (yes, I am that petty) and got brushed off. I thought maybe it was a fluke, bought three more packs for the month as I usually do, and this time they were all fine like normal. I thought I had just over-reacted until I got my most recent three packs, and every single box is underweight. Every bar in every box is 5-10g off. Each box has the equivalent of one missing bar. It's not a lot, but I don't want to support a company anymore that feels like it's ok to lie and steal from its clients, and I recommend everyone else look for another product as well until 1440 Foods (the owners of Pure Protein) get their act together and stop trying to swindle people. Also, the nutrition facts are useless if they're reporting the information on a 50g bar and what you're selling is a 42g bar, what 8g of ingredients are missing? Is each bar 20g of protein or 12g? Again, it may seem petty, but for some people that may be a huge difference.

The chocolate tasted genuinely absolutely disgusting and the texture was like straight clay, even my big-backed dad and nephew thought it tasted very gross and like how fertilizer smells. Only good thing is the protein intake, but I couldn't even finish the bar I took a bite out of. I was gagging with each nibble. Would give 0 stars if I could lol.

Every time I order these from Amazon, they are always dry and gross. Uneatable! Don’t waste your time buying them here. Go to Walmart or target. Amazon seems to only sell the expired bars. They are a good product, just not through Amazon.

This is the worst tasting protein bar I have EVER had and that says alot given I have been trying all sorts of brands. Awful after taste and makes me feel sick after only eating a single one for the day. Don't buy it the price tag is cheap for a reason.

The bars are great, and if you place a big enough order, Amazon will pack them in a box instead of a bag. However, the problem is that the warehouse is getting so hot it's melting the chocolate coating, and the bars themselves. Of course, I ordered these during the summer months, so it's possible that the heat came from shipping, but I don't think the mild summer (85-95, over 90 only occasionally)we've been having (2021) locally is hot enough to melt chocolate. 202's summer? For sure, could have been. But not 2021. I cancelled my subscribe and save order, and will buy these locally. I may reorder during the winter months and stock up on them, so that the temperature won't affect the product quality. I was also having this problem with some other protein bars, and did the same thing with them; cancel the subscription and may reorder during the winter.

These are tasty and they're exactly what I'd want when i need protein and something that doesnt taste awful. but they use anatto for some reason... Which is just a natural color that has relations to the same mechanisms that cause but allergies. There have been documented anaphylaxis caused by it, but it's so hard to pinpoint as the cause of a problem, most people won't know why they feel so terribly. Annatto is a can kicking alternative to red40 and neither are needed.

Really like these, haven't tried other flavours except choc one, and it really resembles a chocolate in a protein snack formula with it being delicious yet supposedly healthy and nutritious. Placing it in a fridge makes it a game changer, as it becomes more satisfying, more solid, less sticky/chewy and the flavour becomes a bit different as well!

Good texture and not too sweet. Great value for money. Chocolate flavour is not overpowering.
