I now understand the comments of another purchaser about the Craftsman biscuit cutter. It is in fact (sadly) an antique. I have not used it for several years as I had gotten away from furniture construction, so I was not as familiar to its shortcomings as I should be. When I read the reviews of a couple others and then ordered the biscuits, I remembered the problem. They are indeed much smaller than the biscuits currently being used with the newer cutters and really are better suited for small crafts like frames. I will keep the cutter because it works like new but, an reconsidering my joining methods.

I’ve returned to building projects out of wood and recently turned to my Craftsman Detail Biscuit Cutter for a project. It had been so long that I had forgotten that this can’t use standard biscuit sizes (0, 10, 20). These biscuit cutters were put out by Sears years ago, but believe they were made by Ryobi. I was able to find the three sizes of biscuits made for this, the R1, R2, and R3. They are tiny, but work great for things like picture frames and small boxes. They’re getting hard to find which is why I bought several of each size.

I have an older model biscuit cutter and was about to junk it because I couldn't find biscuits. A quick on-line search brought me to Amazon and the wolfcraft biscuits. They were a different and unknown brand name, but the info said they replaced the brand I had been using. They were reasonably priced, I took a chance an ordered them. They were a life saver! They perfectly fit the slots cut by my cutter and when glued, held my picture frames together so tightly I didn't need screws or nails, which gave my frames a much "cleaner" appearance. I will most certainly order more.

This takes a long out of production special Biscuit cutter. I bought this Ryobi/Craftman cutter by accident wandering though the Sears Tool section 30 years ago. you may be able to find one on ebay. Grab it at any price if you make small frames or doors. I was gluing the very small frames up for Clocks and cross drilling the corners with a tooth pick so the frame would not fall apart 30 years latter. This Biscuit cutter is far superior to a tooth pick. When I bought the tool I bought all the R3 stock Sears had in the store because it was a rather odd item and would be hard to find. Close to running out, I Googled Amazon and God bless them. There it was at a more then great price. Now I'm set for another 30 years and a very happy camper .

I'm on my 3rd bottle of these. They work great for my Ryobi biscuit joiner. Hard to find this size so I've been buying them for 15+ years. They fit perfect. What else is there to say!

R3 biscuit is 90 quantity and a tad larger than R2. R2 biscuit is 100 quantity. Amazon sells the R3 at greater price plus less quantity. I wondered about the 15% price increase but did not notice the 90 - 100 quantity until later.
