The Kingstone Bible Vol. I

This is a gift for my 11 year old grandson. I believe this exceptionally illustrated comic book style Bible will bring many youth to Christ. An incredible resource in our currently troubled World.

In short - I LOVE THESE! If you want a passionate and faithful retelling of the Bible, you've got it! You can clearly tell that the people at Kingstone have a passion for this. You can see the research done on each page. The accuracy is magnificent and helps one get a clearer image of what it was like back in these days. I highly recommend to get this no matter what age or if you've ever read a comic book. It's very easy to read and is scripture-accurate. I would, and do, recommend these to anyone who loves graphic novels and/or the Word of God. I bought all three volumes and will be posting this review for all three.

My sons like action books and this Bible is action packed. I like the way it tells the same stories any child who was a church goer hears but makes them more gripping. My son and I read 60 pages in only two nights. We love this and recommend it to get Bible conversations started with your kiddos!

Excellent product! My church group bought this a gift for a child of an under privileged family that attend our church. I was so impressed by the quality of the first set that I have been buying them for as Christmas presents for the children of friends and family members that don’t always attend church regularly. If their children become interested in Jesus because of this comic book like Bible, then it was well worth the cost! Heck, if they outgrow it or give it away - hopefully the Holy Spirit can use it to help another child I don’t know find Jesus! I have even considered buying another and leaving it in one of those free book exchange boxes that a local library has placed around our city. This is the gift that keeps on giving! If you are in doubt - PRAY on it and listen to the Holy Spirit, that’s what I did! God bless you!!!

Highly recommend. Always liked reading comics as a kid so this was cool way to read the bible.

They use numerous artists and styles. Most of them honor God’s Word by presenting the message in a hope-filled way, but one of them made the story of Joseph into some dark, depressing story with a horrifying artistic style. This compilation does require some discernment on the part of the reader, but it is certainly a great way to read the Bible to children. Children with these stories in their hearts will be more likely to push back against the evil forces of the world with the knowledge that God is with them.

My son loves this and so do I.

A truly beautiful work of art, the Bible married with awesome art. Great effort from everyone involved.

We have recently gotten all 3 editions. My son has been asking me to read it. It adds some super-biblical text by inserting dialogue not in the Bible, but it is there to make sense of what happened and make it engaging. I think it helps to read to yourself the scripture references, then read this book to your child so you can clarify what is Biblical and what is fictionalized for context. In other words, understand that it is intended to familiarize your child with the Bible and give them a picture for what life looked like for the forefathers of the faith, not act as a theological reference book.
