Time Saver and works well
We did around $300 worth of coins the night this arrived on our doorstep. It did jam a few times, and I did pull out a few objects (bobby pin, straw wrapper, tokens for a long lost arcade, $0.50 pieces.... all things that aren't supposed to be in the machine to begin with (my bad). It was very easy to keep it going once you got the hang of it. I would DEFINITELY recommend this 4 row over a 1 row...you let the machine just do it's thing and walk away (a lot less babysitting). DO Get the Easy-Wrap Coin wrappers (I got the 504 count)... They were MUCH MUCH better then the ones the bank gave me for free. For the price, this is a great little coin counter for the occasional "mason jar full of coins trip to the bank". (yes, you can let it run while you clear a jam, and yes you can leave it plugged in (just hit the Run/stop button to pause sorting)....against the advise of the instructions....so you don't lose your total counts).

sketchy performance at best 1-star: Fails in significant ways
My REVISED review: This is the most troublesome, malperforming device I have ever used. Since my original review based upon a very short user-experience I have now used this thing over several days. It has rarely operated for over 20 minutes without jamming! And jamming is NO small issue! There are no instructions to help, the 'draws' that hold the wrappers jam also! In 2 days now i've had 4 occasions of removing disassembling , then to shake/probe/rattle-and-roll to try to unjam. Coins get caught in the 'main hopper' , sorta solved by very slow dropping-in the coins ..at a sLOW rate not far from '1-coin-at-a-time' !! Yesterday's runs included an episode where 25cent pieces (about 10 of them!) lodged in the same chute .. My efforts included calling Royal Sovereign (in New Jersey) to ask how to take the thing apart: the support person replied with: " I don't know either!!! " He did take my number, saying he'd go into 'the room' and work with one, 'to find out!' ... Well, his heart was in the right place but his labors were not productive: 2 days later and no return call. I found a 'user manual' online which was 23 pages of useless information in two languages.... Suggestions (if you're stuck with this thing) include: 1) Try to return it (Lotsa luck there, given other reviews here!) 2) drop coins into the hopper VERY SLOWLY. 3) Use PERFECTLY shaped coin wrappers! 4) If you have a 'jammed' wrapper-holder-bar , you might be able to dislodge it by pressing it down against the base and yanking..BUT I offer NO guarantee it'll work, nor that the maneuver might not crack the long plastic bar itself! To RE-insert, use a flashlight, peer inside insert the distal L-shaped tip into the hole, and press DOWN again against the table , to insert. My doing this many times did work and despite several 'CRACKING ' sounds, no plastic broke .. That might be the BEST feature of this otherwise useless device: good quality plastic! (My comments to other reviewers: 1) "How does it handle $1 coins, etc?" ... DON"T!!! A large lable at the hopper warns of what not to insert . 2) Printer? Yes there is what appears to be a 'serial port' on rear .. but with such a poor product it would be unwise to invest (ie, lose, more money by buying the lil printer. Only a heavenly-being would know what problems thAT device might have!) tkjtkj, mech.eng., m.d. My criteria: 5-star: does the job well, with extra advantages 4-star: does the job well 3-star: helpful but doesn't accommodate all needs that one would expect 2-star: sketchy performance at best 1-star: Fails in significant ways ; but they showed up for evaluation 0-star: What are they hiding??? (Sadly, there is no '0'-star option for this product.

Solid coin counter
I have pushed over $300 dollars worth of coins through the device. Prior to purchase I read several of the available reviews and when purchasing the coin sorter I also got a box of Royal Sovereign wrappers: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ELCHA6/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_3 . Bit more then I needed, but perfect within their machine. During my usage: I had one jam. Pennies. I loaded the device full of pennies and it jammed. Though an easier thumb screw would have been quicker, it was still simple to remove the top and fix the jam. Pop the top, remove the collar and snatch the coins out. With pennies I mix them in with other coins, no other (solo) coin types jammed on me. About three times I had coins miss the target and fall off to the side. Happened towards the end of sleeve. At least two of the instances was the wrapper paper was pinched in slightly. With 4 of each coin type you have plenty of room to dump a decent amount of coins into it. Changing the coin wrappers is simple and without hassle (again using Royal Sovereign wrappers). I have no need of the thermal printer option, but the LCD gives you all the information you need about the coin count. Overall an excellent buy.

Works Well and is Worth the Extra Cost for Multiple Rows
Update after ~11 months: The machine would stop sorting after a few seconds and start beeping. I would have to pull the rows out and push them back in to reset it but it would do the same thing. After turning it off then on the screen would display ERR2 which the online manual says is an issue with the rear sensors. I took out the three screws holding the outer case on and located all of the sensors. There are a pair in the rear and a pair in the front that are kind of like garage door sensors. There is also one sensor in each coin slot. I cleaned them all with alcohol on a cotton swab, put it back together and it works fine again. Reduced 1 star because the manual doesn't only says what ERR2 means but offers no suggestion to fix it. I had to poke around and figure it out on my own. Sorted $200 of change in about 30 minutes with no jams as soon as it arrived. The most time was spent changing the paper tubes as the sorting was very fast. Now that my stash is sorted I can leave it to sort daily. The current count stays saved after turning it off and even after unplugging so you don't need to leave it turned on all day. I'm not sure how long it would last without power - I only tested for ~30 seconds. I bought the 500 ct. variety box of coin rolls made by the same company and they work great. The penny rolls are a little tight on the bottom of the plastic tubes but no problems. The unit itself is somewhat bulky but about half of it is to accommodate the 4 rows of tubes. Overall very pleased and would recommend for bulk sorting or even just for daily use if you don't want to change paper rolls frequently.

The product looks great and that's the best I can say about it. Does not do well when sorting multiple denominations at the same time, with frequent jams. Works best if you manually separate the coins prior to placing a handful into the sorter, which defeats the purpose of buying the "sorter". I gave up on the product and will be returning.
