This will not stick to a canvas frame . Must have a hard surface .

can you apply to glass, i.e. as a mirror edge trimming?

I would test it on a small piece of glass first. Because you need to apply heat with an iron, it may damage the glass or mirror finish.

Easy to cut? Want to make it a little less than 1/2”

Yes, this is easy to work with. I cut down 3/4" to 1/2" with a straight edge an xacto knife to use around cabinet door edges. Needs a larger radius to bent so it doesn't snap.
