Is it comfortable enough to shave your head with?

I wouldn't recommend this razor for shaving your head. The reason is that the width of the blade is about 1 1/2 inches, but only a small part of this would actually touch your head.

does this razor use an injector for the blade?

No, although the blades look similar. It uses blades from Feather or Kai, both Japanese blade manufacturers. The blades cost about 50¢ each and come in packs of 20. Best razor I've ever had.
