The TempPro thermometer worked exactly as expected. The display is easy to read, responded quickly, and made it simple to monitor temperatures while making homemade marshmallows. The long probe kept my hands safely away from hot syrup, and the included pot clip is a nice bonus for hands-free use. Accurate, easy to use, and a great value for baking, candy making, and cooking. Works wonderfully in my 12qt pot it is perfect and it also works in my 20qt pot when I am making a large batch of jam. The 10" shaft is perfect for the 12qt but kind of short in the 20qt pot it has a very clear display and the light touch spot on the top is amazing 🤩 you can just bump it and the backlight comes on. It is very fast on the fluctuations in the jam making process. I highly recommend this if you need a nice instant read thermometer

This thermometer worked perfectly for checking the temperature of a turkey while deep frying. The display is easy to switch between degrees F & C, the metal probe is 8” long and the thermometer comes with an AAA battery- no button batteries. But the most important thing for me was to check the temperature accuracy. Before using the thermometer, I checked what it read when the probe was resting in a kettle of boiling water. Water boils at 100 degrees C. The thermometer read 100.5 C, but the tip of the metal probe was resting on the bottom of the kettle, so I figure that’s where the extra 0.5 C came from. Good enough. When the deepest part of the turkey breast and thigh read at or above 165 degrees F, I pulled the turkey out of the oil and we found the turkey to be cooked perfectly at dinner time. I would highly recommend this thermometer because it’s accurate, easy to use, easy to change the battery (battery door has a sturdy locking tab so no tiny screwdriver is necessary), easy the clean the probe. Mine probably won’t get frequent use outside of deep frying turkey or cooking larger pieces of meat, so I removed the battery before placing everything back in the box for the next use.

I used this to make my peanut brittle, and it seemed to be extremely accurate. My only issue is that it seems a bit too long and top-heavy. As I stirred with it attached to the pot, it kept falling over. I imagine it has to be long to keep the plastic gauge away from the heat, or at least that is my thinking. It was just a bit awkward compared to a traditional candy thermometer. My glass one broke, so this is my replacement. It did work, but with a little extra effort.

I still prefer my old candy thermometer which can be used in a microwave while cooking but nobody has them any more. While this one cannot be used in a microwave, it is easy to read, is accurate, and the clips to attach it to a pot work well. The legend on the thermometer is great since it means you do not have to look up what temperature is needed every time you have a particular stage that you want to reach.

I've struggled with candy thermometers forever. They call off the pan, they are too small to read, or some other issue. I tried this out the first time and it was fantastic! It immediately came up to temperature, and even taking it out, to do stirring, it read quickly when I put it back in. The pot clip is sturdy and solid. I really appreciated that I didn't have to fight with it. Great design for things I do, like peanut brittle. I thought the pricing was fair. It's easy to use and to clear. I appreciated the rubber tip that comes on the probe to keep it safe. Strongly recommend. Bonus: The probe is pointed so it would be easy to also use with meat.

We LOVE the big display! It easily clips onto the side of your pot and that easy read display is, well..easy! Primarily, we use this thermometer when we process our chickens. The long shaft is great for getting deeper in the water when temperature a accuracy is crucial! Easy to ready display and easy to use, what more could you want?
