I wanted to replace my other fire blanket, as it was old and much smaller. I replaced it, with the same firm/ manufacturer , as it was originally recommended by a fireman. As I had previously had a fire in my home. What I realised , you need extra material to protect your hands and place over. A small fire can grow very fast. Although I haven’t used it, I know it is the larger 1.8 size and has the same features . Not too big to store in the kitchen, but could be used anywhere. I know it’s more cost than the smaller one, but having seen a fire expand rapidly in a sitting room. It is frightening.

A good size to keep in a vehicle, which is what I wanted it for.
After a number of TV stories of people losing their lives in vehicle fires, I began to carry a fire blanket in the car, that I might be better prepared to be able to help should I come across a vehicle fire. The larger size makes it better suited to covering a person.
