Wish I’d bought one years ago.
Love this driver. After using an impact driver for years I bought this to install screws for metal roof & siding. Works much better for this application much better control over screw depth / drive. Much easier to not over drive rubbed washer metal screws. Also prefer it for 3” deck screws. I had a hand & wrist injury that resulted in many broken bones & soft tissue damage. Vibrations / shockwaves are not my friend this driver, drives smooth.

Screw guns!!
Husband and his crew favorite screw gun, they do a lot of metal work the guns hold up.

Reliable cordless screwdriver.
Great product. Works flawlessly every time I use it. Some other users have complained about bits getting "stuck" in the chuck and I think that is more user error than anything else.

Made running screws way easier than the impact
Good quality. Worked really good. Only issue was trying to switch out bits. Couldn’t get the safety color to release had to give it a few taps to work again. Then it was fine.

Garbage design - stuck bits require total tool rebuild
This tool must have been designed by engineers who have never used a power tool. It's ergonomic, lightweight, powerful, and a total piece of garbage: if a bit breaks off or gets stuck, it is impossible to remove it from the nosepiece: you have to buy a whole new nosepiece, (the black part forward of the trigger. Here's the scenario: I am up on a roof, happily driving screws. I drop a hex bit while swapping it out, and it rolls off the roof. I reach into my pocket and find nothing but a short (1/2") phillips bit (not the inch long ones you'd normally use). 'Well, I'll stick it in the dewalt and finish the job before climbing off the roof.' I just ruined my freaking screwdriver. The half inch bits are literally impossible to remove from the DCF622's nosepiece. They push in far enough that just a bit of the point sticks out, and YOU CANNOT REMOVE THEM, even with tiny powerful needle nose pliers. I stuck the driver in my vice and spent hours pinching and poking. I tried cutting off the end of the bit and drlling into it with my drill press to insert a tiny machine screw and pull the freaking thing out. I broke down and disassembled the tool, removing the nosepiece to try to get at the bit from the back. No dice. I called DeWalt tech support and asked them what to do. They said I could drive up to Sacramento and drop it off, or bring it to a tool repair outfit in the city. Brought it to my very competent tool repair shop who normally charges $20 for BS repairs like this. THEY tried for two days and finally said I have to buy a new nosepiece for a hundred bucks. What a joke. DeWalt should guillotine the engineering team who built a nosepiece that does not allow you to eject a short bit like any other impactor or screwdriver EVER DESIGNED allows you to eject.
