These are fantastic CO/Fire detectors.
I have 7 of these in my home. Each is interconnected so when one goes off, they all go off. This is a must have for any home and should be standard. Many times in the past, I have missed a smoke alarm going off because I was in the shop or some other part of the house where an alarm is challenging to hear. These mitigate situations where you are not aware. The other day, I had lit a stick of incense and placed it in an old planter pot that had dirt in it. Well, it managed to burn the dirt and melt the plastic liner in the pot. I was in the shop at the time and when the kitchen detector went off, so did the one in the shop. The X-Sense detectors that link are a little more spendy, however I can say that the feature is well worth it.What I like:* Easy install* well made with quality parts. These not only look good but they also feel substantial* Interconnectivity!* No need to fool around with another app on my phone. I like the simplicity although I do like the Nest Protectโs ability to send a notification and turn off the HVAC if smoke is present. Thatโs a nice feature but the price point makes them difficult to justify the cost. I can get three XSense detectors for the price of one Nest Protect.* No subscription required.* has a visual display in addition to standard LED lights.Cons:* not able to send notifications in a smoke/fire/CO situation.I highly recommend these over the standard detectors that have been in use for a few decades now. Step up to the XSense and link them together!

Reliable, Wireless, and Easy-to-Install Safety Solution
I replaced my aging smart smoke detectors with this 6-pack of X-Sense SC07-W units, and Iโm impressed. While these arenโt โsmartโ detectors, they offer excellent value and reliability. Installation was straightforwardโmounting the detectors and connecting them wirelessly took about 30 minutes. Once linked, triggering one alarm activates all units, providing whole-home coverage. Each unit features a photoelectric smoke sensor and an electrochemical CO sensor, offering dual protection. The built-in 10-year lithium battery eliminates the need for frequent battery replacements. The LCD display shows real-time CO levels (30โ999 ppm), battery status, and working condition. The 85 dB alarm is loud enough to be heard throughout the house.I appreciate the wireless design, especially since my home isnโt prewired for smoke detectors. The sealed batteries are a bonus, providing maintenance-free operation for a decade. Regular testing confirms that if one alarm goes off, all others follow suit, which is exactly what I want in an emergency.Pros:Wireless interconnectivity for whole-home coverageDual smoke and CO detection10-year sealed batteryEasy installation and setupLCD display with real-time CO levelsCons:Not โsmartโ (no app control or smart home integration)Flashing green LED every 60 seconds may be distracting in bedroomsOverall, these detectors offer solid protection at an affordable price. They meet EN 14604 and EN 50291 safety standards, ensuring reliable performance. Highly recommended for anyone seeking dependable smoke and CO detection without the need for smart home integration.

Great so far!
Well we just got these to replace some that were very old and not interconnected. We got 9 (6 pack and 3 pack) to go in every room of the house except bathrooms (due to humidity). We have 9โ ceilings and the old ones hung on the wall right above the door frames ... after reading about best placement I chose to install these on the ceiling even though Iโll have to use a ladder to test. If you canโt place in the center of the room due to a fan make sure itโs at least 3โ away but not in the corners. Also it says at least 10โ from an oven or stove to prevent false alarms. This makes sense as our last kitchen was smaller and the alarm was about 5โ away from the oven and would go off every time I cooked and opened the oven. We used to joke that dinner was ready when the alarm went off. Anyway- these were easy to install but as another reviewer stated the bracket doesnโt line up with the top and you have to place the whole thing on the ceiling, hold the bracket and carefully remove the alarm without moving and install to get it facing the way you want. (I learned this after the first one was lightly off center) I used a push pin ๐ to help hold it in place until I got the first screw in. I did this alone but it might be helpful to have a second person to hand you the drill or screws or whatever. Thankfully my ladder had a tray on top. In the instructions I missed that you have to pair them manually and just assumed they would all talk to each other. Thankfully I questioned this and looked at the manual again. Pairing is super simple and only takes a few seconds. You can set up different zones too if you donโt want them all on the same group. I put mine all together. Take the first one and press button 4 times quickly then press second alarm twice quickly and they will blink some then beep and they are paired. Just repeat this process with an alarm from the group you want to add to. I already had mine installed so I had to take one around the house and pair them all to it but this would be a very simple process to pair them all before installing. To test the group hold the button in while you test. It will beep several times on the initiating alarm then the rest in the group will start beeping too. Warning this will be extremely loud! Ear plugs/muffs are recommended during this process. My dog was not happy with me after I went around the house making sure they are all alarming after pairing everything. I think Iโll put her outside first next time. Assuming these detect smoke and carbon monoxide accurately (Iโve not tested this other than hitting the test button) Iโm confident that the entire house will alarm and wake us from a deep sleep if necessary! Did I mention that these are extremely loud? Also Iโm glad these should last around 10 years or so because I figure in that time the technology may be more advanced and theyโll need to be replaced anyway. That way we wonโt be stuck with some dinosaurs that are out dated like we were before these. So far Iโm happy with my purchase and feel safer in my home.

โข Next generation detectors with three key features
I purchased a 3-pack to use in strategic locations around the home. These next generation detectors offer three desirable features that raise them to near the top of their class.(1) Combined smoke and carbon dioxide alerts. Rather than purchase two detectors, let one do the jobs of two and save money.(2) Ten-year internal batteries. No more 9-volt battery replacements every year. More savings and less hassle. And at the end of the ten year power cycle, the detectors will chirp to let you know that replacement time has come. Turning off the alert requires a little twist and this will deactivate the detector.(3) Optional Interconnection. Most stand alone detectors will alert you within a limited area of use, but what happens if you are not nearby to hear the alarm? The optional wireless interconnection solves this problem by sending a signal to the other detectors in the group, and these will sound off.Wireless interconnection is optional; just don't turn it on. Note: The detector is delivered tuned OFF. Once the detector is turned inside of the mounting ring it will be activated.Important mounting notes. Each detector comes with a mounting ring that holds the detector. If you want the detector display to be horizontal to the floor, then attach the detector to the ring (which activates it), designate a mounting location, and mark the location on the wall/ceiling/other and the orientation of the ring. Remove the ring from the detector, reposition the ring at the marked mounting location, pencil mark the drill holes before drilling, drill the holes, and drive in the screws. The detector will now turn into the mounting ring with the display oriented as desired.

FALSE ALARMS! GET A MORE RELIABLE BRAND!
We have 10 of these along with a base station in one of our rental houses. I had to replace 3 of these units over the span of 1.5 year! All of them have the same problem: they randomly go off without a reason, and the whole house goes crazy after that. What's ridiculous is that there isn't even much cooking going on at the house and absolutely no smoke/or fires, but they keep going bad! I'm having to buy the 4TH UNIT IN LESS THAN 2 YEARS because they have to be interconnected and I don't want to spend a fortune replacing all the other working ones. But at this point, I'm still spending the money, I might as well just trash all 10 units and get a different brand that doesn't go off for no reason!
