Glad I didn't throw the machine away. The vacuum was in perfect condition but would not work. It was the old battery. I bought this and I was skeptical at first but to my surprise, it worked very well & exact fit. It was durable, powerful, and has a good charging ability.

Started off fine. Battery fit my old Dyson well, and seemed to charge up. Used it a few times (we have two Dysons and tended to use the other one more often) with no issues. Went to use it about five months in, and the battery was dead although I keep the unit plugged in. Thought it might be the outlet, or the charger, but both were fine. Seems that some of these cheaper batteries cease to work after some months use, and I got one of them. It's a pity as the cost of an OEM replacement is 2-3 times the cost. I guess I learned.

I’m very disappointed with the quality and performance of this product. Battery life is very short. Not worth the money.

This is the second battery I have purchased from this supplier. The first one is still going strong in a V6 unit that is used every few days and that battery is is a year old. The second one purchased 6 month age and used only weekly is totally dead and won't charge. It started strong but stopped charging after about 6 to 10 uses. Both were on the charger when not in use. It clear that this is either an internal charge monitor circuit or battery failure. I'm going to disassemble it and find out. Based on all the other reviews I would not recommend this battery unless you like to gamble.

I had an older V6 animal model being stored for a few years and pulled it out to use it as we recently had new flooring installed. I plugged it in, went to turn it on and dead! I know from experience these modern lithium batteries die prematurely if they don’t get charged and discharged (used) on a regular basis. This battery replacement worked out great! It even included replacement filters for the canister. Win win!! It has a blue light indicator that lights up while charging. Once the light shuts off, your battery is fully charged. I purchased this battery replacement about 2 months ago and wanted to be sure before placing a review. Battery longevity is better than the OEM but not quite 3X stronger. I’d say it lasts more like twice as long. I get several uses out of it before having to recharge. Hope this helps 😉

Super easy to replace, helps to get the job done. It needs to be charge more regularly than the original one, but it was definitely a good purchase.

The battery in my $300 G6 Dyson vacuum was going out after about 4 years and would stop after about 30 seconds. I thought about buying a new one but they were about $400-600 dollars. So, I thought I would check on Amazon for a replacement and came across this one. I replaced it by just removing 2 screws and it now runs just as good as new with full suction and power! Also, the filters it came with helped a lot. I didn't realize that the filter builds up dirt in the "inside" even though the outside looks clean.

The original battery with my dyson hand held v6car plus boat lasted 4-5 years. Bought two of these in the last two years. The first one lasted less than a year, and the last one, bought in October 2025, quit holding a charge within 60 days.
