The design of this is lovely, i never leave reviews- ever but this is seriously a lovely quality product. I was impressed with it straight away. Microwaved and jiggle the beans about a bit then around the shoulders- i fell asleep more than once just chilling with this on. TMI INFO ALERT woke up this morning having a really heavy painful period and had a lightbulb moment, this fits PERFECTLY across my tummy and around the sides and it is heavenly. Its like the shape was made for an abdomen and the weight of it has simmered down all of tummy cramps too. Worth every penny all day long and either for shoulders or tummy pain it stops me considering pain killers.

Bought for an elderly lady who suffers with neck/shoulder pain. Whilst easy enough to warm its quite heavy and bulky . If have some mobility issues it's awkward to put over shoulders. We'll made and good price .

Great product. Used daily. Had 5 altogether. Will definitely buy more. Brilliant for my wife's back and neck pain.

I bought this as a gift for a 93 year old friend but, at 4lbs weight, she found it much too heavy and increased her pain so we didn't try it heated as she just couldn't cope with the weight, especially in bed. It might be excellent for younger, fitter people but much to heavy for frail elderly people.

Great shape and coverage for shoulders and neck

This is a good quality product but was too heavy for my shoulders so had to sadly return it - the design was great and the way it wraps round is great but the weights were slightly too heavy for me.

I was nearly put off by some of the poor reviews but I am glad I went ahead and ordered anyway. Yes, this item is heavy, but when you put it around your shoulders the weight is distributed and the heat is distributed around your upper back and neck. Yes, it is large so has to be rolled up to fit in the microwave. But it if wasn't large it would not cover such a large area of the neck and shoulders. As with all of these microwavable heating pads, you need to make sure you don't leave it too long in the microwave. It says 2 minutes but I leave mine in for 3 minutes as my microwave is not a high powered. All in all, I am happy with it and it certainly relieves my neck and shoulder pain.
