Updated may not look the same as your old ones
They worked great, I wish the description told you that these were updated from the old back flow check valve type

Terrible Brand Grohe
Item had been used or previously installed. Had to spend 1/2 hour to verify it was a legitimate OEM part for Grohe. Way too expensive for 2 small plastic parts. Will never choose to install Grohe Brand products.

Installation Help
I really struggled with this, so here are my notes: Grohe 47158000 Non-return valves Do not replace these two valves unless the faucet is leaking when the handle is in the off position - that leak indicates these need to be replaced. New non-return valves can be faulty and not open - blow hard on the round side to see if they open and work before installing larger end faces the valve body opening use Danco #35 (11/16” outer diameter x 9/16” inner diameter x 1/16” wall) O-Ring if original o-ring tears and faucet leaks because of tear during installation Tightly wrap two layers of pipe tape and add silicone grease before installing Use old cartridge to help seat the two non-return valves (they fit very tightly and there isn’t room to get leverage to seat them). Rated a 3 because I received a bad valve that didn't open and that was really puzzling during the installation process - I learned to test the valve first. Grohe 47157000 Tiief Cartridge Will wear over time. Use silicone grease on portion of the body that will be in contact with the non-return valves - this is a very tight fit and the grease is necessary Install in the off position, then slowly open the cold and hot brass side valves one at a time to see if the non-return valves leak. If they leak, then replace or reseat the non-return valves. If no leak, then close the hot and cold valves, and proceed to screw on the brass cover plate to seal. Slowly open each cold and hot brass side valves to see if a leak occurs. If no leak, then open the cartridge valve body to see if the body fully opens and the correct amount of water is flowing. If good, then replace the remainder of the parts including the chrome parts.

Saved the day
We had a drip in our shower. After watching several you tube videos this part is in many cases is the reason your shower leaks. Make sure you use grease before inserting cartridge. Grohe has great customer service. If you need a diagram or their recomendation call them. Only complain is cost of parts. This is a DIY project. Money saved not having to pay Plummer.

Remember to check your filter integrity and make sure they are clean.
Must have for repair or maintenance of Tempress II shower faucet mixture module. My module wore out and my filter broke and reduced my water pressure. Replaced them and got my original water pressure back.

Great quality
Fixed my shower right away! Great European shower product and will buy more to stock up before they discontinue item. A little pricey but definitely works and is great quality.

Poor design
Just buy a complete new rough in valve and save time and money since there is a good chance these will not fix the problem. Part of a very poor design that is hard to install without tearing orings or pinching them. Even if you get these pieces seated correctly when you slide the valve cartridge in the orings on it are hard to keep in place and seat properly. After you get it all back together it’s probably 50/50 shot it will drip. Good luck. Nothing wrong with these pieces, just poor design.
