Great item, needs a little tinkering.
Bought this the first time in 2017. Blades spin freely in opposite directions. Solar globe works great, lasts 6+ hours. It isn't bright enough to light a path but shows up great in the garden at night. Pole assembly seemed "loose." An appropriate length of copper pipe over the poles fixed that. The garden is fairly loamy, I had to add a small group of softball sized stones to help stabilize the pole against high wind. The fins were slightly unbalanced, leading to an uneven spin. Three well placed bronze colored paper clips rebalanced the assembly. The crackle glass comes off the small solar panel and the panel should be wiped off once a year for best charging. I also replaced the battery after 4 years, which was just a rechargeable AA. Overall, a great interest piece in the garden. I had to replace after 7 years; the bearing assembly wore out. At about 7$ a year, I bought another. :) I'll keep the crackle ball assembly as a replacement.

Swivels manually but doesn't automatically turn toward the wind
Swivels 360 degrees manually but does not automatically turn toward the wind. Needs a vane (like a weather vane) to turn the rotating blades toward the wind.

Glad I bought it on sale.
Overall, this has major design flaws. Assembly is easy enough. The main stand, when put together, does not stand upright due to the size of it, and the weight of the spinner/ball top part. It leans. The biggest design flaw, in addition to the flimsiness of the stand, is the fact that the top portion of the stand is designed that it rotates, instead of being rigid. (And I'm not talking about he decorative spinner.) Because the stand itself rotates, it does not allow the actual spinner part to spin like it should. The two pieces, trying to rotate in different directions at the same time, simply does NOT work. The entire spinner gets turned around and around, but does not spin the way you want it to. I solved this problem by putting flex seal tape around the stand to keep it rigid. Now the spinner spins the way I want it to, but the tape is kind of unsightly. No problems at all with the light working and changing colors. Now that I did my own fix on the spinner to get it to spin properly, it looks cool in the dark.

Not recommended, poor construction product
Only works one side, only if the wind is over about 10 mph. Had to bend coils to just get one side to work. The blades are almost 90 degrees out of position compared to a god spinner that works with less than wind is only one mph. Poor construction. The stand is worthless thin metal and not enough stakes to place stable in ground. Piece of junk. Tom It was replaced with the taller model. Again poor support. Out of alignment due to poor machining at adjoining tubes. No stability. Wind at 4-5 mph failed to turn blades even one complete revolution. Got out my Husqvarnar 150BT leaf blower. Had to get within 5 feet to get blades to start turning. On my other companys model, it turned at almost 30 Yards away. -- Today we have some higher gusts near 8- 10 mph resulting in a few revolutions. I set the heights at 2 ft off ground and again on 4 ft T-post. Spin orientation seems odddly at almost 90 ddegrees out of alignment to our other companies very well made model. You need to provide an extra mounting stake. That and all tubes need to be slightly larger/dense thicker construction. Need to check machining alignment. Maybe reorientate direction of blade positioning. My wife says, tell them they kind of work. PS, the lights are working, that's cool.

Optimistic! Beautiful lighting.
Arrived promptly. Nicely packaged in case you’re interested in gifting this. Very easy to assemble. I love the colored lights at night. I glued all my joints as I assembled it. The things I really like about this spinner is the whole top is removable. The light sits in its spot between the spinners. You can easily take the light off to take it inside ( in case of windy weather) ( or vandals) But the whole top piece of the spinners with the light bulb slides over the stake, so it is easily removable in case of severe weather. I gave it 4 stars on sturdiness because the ground piece is very small. I think it would be more stable in High winds if there was a broader space between the ground spikes. There’s only about 2 inches. I can’t wait for spring so I can see it in full action.

A fun buy for our garden.
It is what was advertised and will give my wife and I a lot of pleasure watching it spin and trull sound in our garden as the wind blows it.

Loose bearing
One bearing was extremely loose in the bore it was inserted into. This caused one of the wheels to "clunk" with each revolution. I removed the retaining ring and the bearing literally fell out. This is supposed to be a snug fit. I had to wrap two layers of duct tape around the outside diameter of the bearing so it would fit snugly in the bore. Very poor quality control to allow this to happen. Also, be aware that this unit does not rotate into the wind as the wind changes direction. It is fixed in the direction you point it. After the above review the supplier sent a new unit at no cost to me. Both bearings in this unit were fine. The only thing I had to do was statically balance each wheel so it would spin with a much lighter wind. This was no big deal.

Allerdings haben wir es nur mit dem kurzen Stück an einem bestehenden Holzgerüst befestigt, nicht in die Erde gesteckt, da es sonst bei starkem Wind nicht stabil genug ist. So aber ist es perfekt

Not pleased with this purchase! Bought it last year for my sisters birthday in August 2020, worked perfectly! And this year, it would not work, ball bearings were gone in it to make it spin when the wind 💨 hit it. What the heck 🥴, and was not cheap cost wise. Not happy whatsoever when my sister told me this 🥴
